Enabling Privacy on MoCa Network

Hello, I just enabled MoCa on my XB7 and installed an adapter in another room for my stepson’s Xbox. Got everything working, but since I’m in an apartment, I don’t know if a PoE is installed on the outside line. Under MoCa diagnostics in the XB7, privacy is disabled. How can I enable this on my XB7?

Question

Your second "proposed" diagram looks fine (with one adjustment*), assuming that the MoCA adapters you choose include a RF pass-through port; if not, you'd need to use a MoCA 2.x-compatible splitter** at the modem location to get both the modem and Mo

MoCA setup diagram and Questions

I am looking for confirmation on a seemingly very simple internet setup with my Xfinity internet. I am curious if using MoCA will be possible in my scenario. Per my diagram provided, I have two possible questions: (modem does not have MoCA technology) 1) Do I need two MoCA adapters in my current sce

Question

Cannot disable MoCA on the XB7 once it is enabled. The point of entry (POE) filter also reflects the MoCA signal back to the house wiring, so you have a stronger signal which can equal more MoCA speed.

XB7 cannot run Pods and MOCA

TL; DR Comcast XB7 (Technicolor CGM4331COM 2.0) cannot simultaneously support xFi Pods (single gigE model) and MOCA (Actiontec ECB6200). The MOCA link drops anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes and the Pods frequently re-mesh. Unplug either all the Pods or all the MOCA transceivers and all e

Device randomly gets paused, but Xfinity app says it isn't paused.

A few days ago I manually paused one of the devices on my home network. I set it to pause until I unpaused it. The next morning I unpaused it, and everything seemed to work just fine for 4-5 hours. Then, suddenly, the device lost all internet access and I started getting web pages telling me that my

If a Comcast store isn't convenient MoCA PoE filters are like $10 on Amazon. I'd say if you can disable MoCA on the gateway do so until you can get a filter and just put up with any MoCA devices you have not working until your filter shows up. Yo

Dozens of Unknown Devices

I have had Xfinity for around 4 months and everything was working fine until now. Over the last two weeks I have had dozens of unknown devices (Apple devices, Amazon speakers, etc) all connecting to my gateway via MoCa or wired connection. My internet reliability has plummeted and it’s hardly usable

Question

This could possibly be a MoCA connection. MoCA is basically ethernet over Coaxial.  Aside from the latest version it doesn't have any built-in security and a lot of combo cable modem + WiFi router units support it including Comcast gateways.&nb

I suppose I could have been a bit clearer on that. Anything using MoCA needs to have a filter between it and the outside world.  The filter isn't necessary if nothing that has MoCA enabled has a path over coax to the outside world.  If you

We have two Pods as well as MOCA turned on for our network. I suspect somehow it is getting mixed up w

An MoCA POE (point of entry) filter, is a low pass filter. It blocks the higher frequency MoCA uses and will keep your MoCA signal from either leaking out to your neighbors over the coax, and/or will block your neighbors MoCA devices from getting in
