I am seeing an ARRIS Group inc. on my wifi router

All of a sudden, Arris Group Inc - E76B, a desktop-CA3EM1, Vizio Smart TV and Laptop- SGSPURHL started showing up on my connected devices.  These are not mine so I paused them.  Why are they there?  Do they have my password to my router?  My Gateway is a model XB8 and have had no issues in years.  Why and how can I stop them from joining my network?  Just change my password?  Help please!  Thanks in advance for your help!

Do you know if MoCA is enabled in the Gateway?  If it is enabled, and you're not using it, try disabling it.  If disabling MoCA makes strange devices go away, then I think you probably don't have a MoCA filter.  I've seen people say that their gateway spuriously/randomly enabled MoCA by itself, so I would suggest that you always have a MoCA filter with any Gateway that has MoCA.

Appreciate your fast response.  Was not able to find anything about MoCA filter, but I did find that the toggle switch was moved to "yes" to be a hotspot (used to be off).  Hopefully it will fix my concern.  Thanks again.  Have a great day!

Good Morning, @user_w177hp! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! I do understand the concerns with seeing devices that you are unfamiliar with, it certainly is not what we want for our customers. I do see you disabled the public Wifi hotspot, did you notice those devices disappear? I would also recommend changing/updating your Wifi password. You can find the details how here. Please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help.

Thank you for your response.  After disabling the public Wifi hotspot no new items have appeared.  But since I "paused" these odd devices, they are still on my listing.  If I unpause them, will they go away or do I just click on "Forget Device" to remove them?  Thank you again!

You're very welcome, @user_w177hp! Thank you so much for sharing those details with us, I would recommend completely forgetting those devices by selecting that button. Please let us know if they go away once you have completed that step.
