XB-7 MoCA support

Hi,

I have an XB-7 router. I want to add other access points in my house via MoCA. It looks like XB-7 has support for this, but there is only one coaxial cable port. Wouldn't I need another port for the cable out? Or does it also output along that cable port?

Thanks

I suspect that it also outputs internet over that port when MoCA is enabled, then I need to make sure I have a POE filter so my lan doesn't leak outside the house?

Hello, @mocadubadoo. Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Forums for support, you have contacted the right place for assistance. The XB7 modem does support MoCA, and found a previous forums post that had some great information on Moca configuration with the XB7: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/is-the-gateway-xb7-moca-enabled/602dafccc5375f08cd179801?linkId=139181014.

Yes. And if any coax cable splitters are in the mix, they need to be MoCA compliant such as this one;
