I assume you've also verified that the port is open and listening via "ss" or "netstat". The only other thing I can think of is something related to TLS. A failed TLS handshake negotiation can be mistaken for a connectivity problems.

Question

FWIW. Posts that we've seen here (including posts by employees), have shown that the port with the orange stripe is the 2.5 gig port. YMMV. It's not for phones because it already has two dedicated RJ11 ports (Tel 1 and Tel 2) for the voice / phone se

XB8 Ethernet Port Specs

Hi, Since the xb8 is still new, no one really knows the specs on the 4 ethernet ports. Which one is really the 2.5gb, none of the forum actually states which one it's all speculation, even the comcast employee who replied to the question from another subscriber did not know what he's talking about.

Much slower speeds after upgrade to 2GB plan and XB8

Hi - I recently upgraded to the 2GB plan and just installed an XB8. While I haven't tested for 2.5GB yet, I have tested 1GB and my speeds are much slower (25% slower) than my previous Modem (XB7). Speeds which were roughly 950mb are now 525-600mb. Am I missing something, does it take a few days for

Question

That computer has only a gigabit ethernet port. Due to the ethernet overhead, they can only deliver around 930-940 Mbps, so that's normal. You would need a network adapter that has a 2.5 gig port if you want to get the speed you are paying for.

Arris G54 download speed is below 930 and upload is 41 on 1.2 plan.

I purchased the Arris G54 combo after upgrading from 800 to 1.2 plan. I can’t get over 930 download and 41 upload. I talked to Arris and Xfinity help with no results. An Xfinity tech will be out next week to check my system. When I had the 800 plan with the old modem/router, I was getting 890 downlo

Question

You wouldn't be able to have identical port forwards set for both computers, I will admit that this is a bit past what we would normally troubleshoot, but this reddit post may help explain this further or in a better way.

I've had a port forwarding protocol that's been working for a long time. All of a sudden within the last couple weeks it's only worked after a router restart. It's really annoying to have to restart technology to get it to work, and I'd really just like for my port forwards to ACTUALLY WORK without
