XG1v4-A cable out port

For years I have had the cable out port on my XG1v4-A feeding an old TV in my basement gym. Yesterday the basement TV showed No Signal, so I reset the XG1v4-A upstairs and it started working again. This morning again the basement TV shows No Signal. Did Comcast start blocking the Cable Out port? What has changed?

Mine worked with live TV but playing from on demand would kill the port until the box was reset.

the cable in port on the old TV or the TV's tuner may be the issue. have another old TV to put on it to test?

Double check that the tv is still physically on Ch3 and hasn’t changed off that input

XG1V4 reset no longer solves the problem since New Year.

Yes.
The cable out port used to behave like an "RF Out".
Now?

That's an interesting and logical observation. (I never tried to use this output during on-demand.) Well, now that port appears to be permanently shut.
If you (or others) have noticed any change in the behavior of this output since January 1, please comment.

Live TV still working for me. On demand programming still blocked where it worked before November update.

Tried the on-demand lockout experiment and came to the same conclusion. Reboot after on-demand lockout restored the cable out port.

curious as to use of the rf output jack?

In my application, the "cable out" is connected to the antenna input of a second (older) TV.
The older TV is locked on Ch 3.

The XG1 HDMI output connects to our flatscreen.

the coax connected older TV would need its own set top box. you can spend a very little amount and get a roku TV and use the free xfinity stream beta app. I got an inexpensive smart ONN from walmart for guest bedroom and it works great.

I don't mean to be rude but nobody who has replied either understands or isn't taking the time to read what RFguy and myself are saying. This all worked fine up until November. Something was changed by Comcast.

And, I must apologize, the "older" TV that I referred to receives digital broadcast (ATSC), so it does not require the set top box that Ben is correctly referring to.
It is interesting that the cable out block is a relatively recent "feature".
I suspect that it prevents recording of on-demand via devices that use rf inputs. Who knows?

Thanks for the reset after on-demand advice. That is the cure. The older TV is used only occasionally; so, I was surprised when it started displaying "no signal" after it had worked flawlessly for years.
