Are Xfinity hotspots secure? With my cell phone, I connect to my rented xfinity modem wifi at home. It's secure. But I see XFINITY and xfinitywifi as available. XFINITY has a lock icon on it. When I'm not at home, should I connect to XFINITY or xfinitywifi?

I am shopping Xfinity internet plans and deciding between the 75mbps and 400mbps plan. Right now both plans have new customer promottions. I tried calling customer service but the recordings pretty much forced you to Xfinity assistant. When I finally got a live agent he said he couldn’t help because our tv plan was part of our community HOA and i would have to call. Well tried that and got nowhere.
