Yes, you need an additional device, no remote is provided . Mine had bugs but is being replaced with warranty. Does work with Comcast's HBO . Once it streams u can use your tablet/ phone for other stuff.

@XfinityJeniece yes i have and nothing helped! i was told it’s a problem with my console and it’s not. my wifi won’t even work on my ipad or phone without lagging severely or not starting connected.

The time I got the email bomb in the middle of all the emails was a notice from my charge company I had bought a $900 Ipad on line. Watch your bank and charge cards carefully.
