High data use and you can’t explain it?
I am very upset how subscribers are left in the dark here and the only way they are helped is suggesting them to purchase unlimited internet! That’s not fair! It is time for Xfinity to admit that their gateways have a MoCA issue where signals seem to mix up on coaxial lines in apartment buildings ca

That’s the wrong amp for X1 boxes. The X1 boxes use moca to communicate between the main box and XiDs. That amp is having a hard time passing the moca. Either try a four way splitter, Modem and 3 boxes or the proper amp.
XiD-P box is unable to connect to main DVR
I have been having a lot of trouble with my secondary DVR boxes in my home. When I first installed the system (1x XG1v4-A, 2x XiD-P) a few months ago, I was able to get all the TVs working pretty well. It did take several restarts of the boxes, both my main box and the secondary clients to get every

XiD X1 and ethernet switch
Long time fios user, just switched to xfinity so am trying to figure things out. Xfinity Coax enters house in Den, connects to xFi gateway, which I believe is considered to be a modem/wifi router. We are experiencing severe and constant bursts in packet loss that is disruptive to activities and systems that need stable connections. Currently the Xi6 needs to access the DVR via MoCA. In theory it really does not need to do this since everything on the DVR is mirrored on the cloud DVR. So maybe someday the Xi6 will be programed that way. If you have problems getting an XG1v4 f
4K boxes require Xfinity Modem?
I chatted with Customer Service to request 4K boxes for my TVs that are 4K, including a DVR. I have my own cable modem and router so was told that the 4K boxes are wireless and require a leased Xfinity router/modem. First, is this true, and second, does Comcast have a plan to allow the 4K boxes to w

MoCa Adapter with XB7
I recently bought a MoCa adapter and I have the XB7. I connected the adapter into one of my outlets with a coax cable and Ethernet to the device I’m trying to use, but it says “No Internet”. It could be the amp itself, since it worked when you bypassed it. Additional hidden splitter before the amp would hinder moca through the amp. Don’t use voip port for the dvr. Are you using the remote power through port 1?

@XfinityAngie If security was important, you wouldn't have two factor data breaches with email, or MoCA 2.0 enabled by default. Controlling a gateway with a phone app wouldn't be an option either. A password change doesn't fix this.
