Re: MoCA adapter and Comscope AC adapter
According to Commscope, the CSMAPDU9VP has a built-in MoCA PoE filter, so do I need to install a second one at the point of entry? And on this topic, I installed a CSMAPDU9VP becuase my splitter didn't have enought outputs. So I removed the splitter and installed the Commscope amplifier. At that point I had good TV and internet signal to all coax connections in the house, but the main X1 box stopped communicating with the X1 satellite box. When I went back to just a simple splitter, the X1 boxes talked to each other again. It occurred to me that there might already be a PoE filter on the incoming cable - and that might be somehow interfering with the CSMAPDU9VP. Would love it if you could venture a thery on this. Thanks a lot!!

Yes, if you have a splitter on the wrong side of the POE filter on the amp input it would cause the problem of boxes not communicating. The entrance filter isn't the issue, just having one between boxes.

not using remote power, using the dedicated power input. there is a "barrel" on the cable coming into the house, which I suspect might be a MoCA PoE filter(?). would that be a potential issue? it would be hard to see if there are additional splitters because cables go deep into a dark and insulation-filled attic space which I really don't want to crawl into (but it's certainly possible). also, just saw your comment about making sure the main DVR box is output 1. very possible the last time I tried it was not.

thank you so much for the quick reply. this looks exactly like mine, including rev 5. do you have any theory about why my X1 boxes stop talking to each other when this is in the system?
