Why did my recording FAIL in the 8th inning of a 13 inning playoff game???????

Both edges of the screen (left and right) are cut off on most channels

I have an HD TV and XR2 remote with non-X1 Xfinity cable box. I set the aspect ratio on both the TV and the cable box to 16:9 aspect ratio and the edges of the picture are cut off. I thumbed through the various aspect ratios, but even when the picture is letter boxed or postage stamped the edges

There are many unexplained icons and symbols within the guide that Xfinity expects you to understand. Is there a detailed listing? One that I saw last night was a solid red circle followed by 2 crescents. It was like 3 red moons overlapping each other. There must be a simple explanation.

There are 2 speed tests on your speed test page. The first one I assume is the speed reading internal to the modem (Gateway). What is the one that is titled "Speed to this Computer"? Is that the speed reaching the device you are testing (computer). That brings up another question Let's say

Can’t access my account

I just attempted to purchase a service yesterday. And now all the sites won’t load and I get the “hmm, the page didn’t load correctly” and the app won’t give me access either. Internet drops multiple time a day, power cycling modem brings it back

I have a personally owned ASUS SB8200 that's connected to a Linksys Velop mesh network. It worked flawlessly for several months when I installed everything. A couple months ago I'd lose internet on my network a few times a week and power cycling the modem would bring it back. It's now up to dropping
