Coax outlet installation

I'm moving into a house that doesn't have a coax outlet later this month. Is a coax outlet something I can schedule an Xfinity technician to install? Or do I need to reach out to a contractor/electrician?

Be advised. Comcast techs do not do any wall fishing for the coax wiring. They run the cabling outside of the premises and they just drill holes from the outside to the inside to get the wiring in. If you want / need wall fishing to be done, you would need to hire a local contractor, such as a low-voltage electrician.

They also refer to a service company that they have partnered with. See this article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/hellotech-overview

Hi, thank you for reaching out. I see you are getting our service soon at your new location, which doesn't have an outlet. In these cases, we can schedule a professional installation to get a new cable run and an outlet installed. The installation fee is $100.00, which is billed to your account. You'd then be good to go on your end.

I have an existing coax outlet that has the wires cut off, will I have to pay to get new wirings and get my existing coax outlet activated?

Good evening @user_g9xrzo! To get the outlet rewired and activated, there would be a professional installation fee. We may have a promotion available to discount the installation fee. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
