Activating new modem/gateway without app

Bad Business!!!
I moved on 5/30. On 5/27 I called XFINITY to let them know to transfer services effective 5/30. They said they could transfer it 5/30 (stop billing old address) but a technician couldn’t come out to the new address until 6/2. I said that was fine. My bill is regularly $73. After the technician left.
