I just encountered error code TVAPP-00148 on the Xfinity Stream app on my Samsung TV. Worked fine for prior 6 months. App streams fine on other devices and tvs. Tried turning off/on tv and deleting/installing app on Samsung tv.

Xfinity streaming app has stopped working on my Samsung TV (2020 model). Tried all fixes...does anyone have a workable solution available. This the error message I get: Error Code: TVAPP-00148

Xfinity stream has stopped working on all of my Samsung TVs I have tried everything uninstalling reinstalling setting the TVs back to factory updating the TVs firmware resetting my home router all these combinations and none of them have worked how do I get xfinity stream to work

Why is xfinity not getting this fixed. They did an app update on 1/22/24. This is not a Samsung issue this is a bug issue with the update.
Xfinity please can you give an explanation as to when this will be fixed?

Why has Xfinity closed all of the threads in this forum that had information about the TVAPP-00148 error that thousands of users have been complaining about in the last 9 days with no resolution? The last message from Xfinity was basically that the error was Samsung's fault and that they were closing the forums because there was some kind of violation to their policies. This is really terrible customer service. First of all, users were never informed about the outage and were left troubleshooting with the tech support, who was mostly unaware of the issue and made us waste hours trying different unsuccessful solutions. Meanwhile, this forum was full of users saying that there was a problem but Xfinity did not know about it, when it is their own forum. We need formal communication from Xfinity explaining what happened and when they expect to solve it.

What is wrong with the Xfinity app for streaming on Samsung TV? Overnight it stopped working. Did something change. It works fine on other devices.

My xfinity and samsung tv were working fine until Jan 17, 2024. Now....nothing. Xfinity works fine on my Samsung phone and tablet. I can't even cast to my tv. What happened and how do I fix it? My other apps stream just fine.(Netflex, Prime, Disney)

Have seven TVs, all with Xfinity app and the only one that has issues is my newer Samsung unit. Going in a year now. Have spoken with customer support tens of times and must’ve deleted/reinstalled the app a hundred or so times? Once a week, hit an error—guide will load but no channel viewing, delete/reinstall. Frustrating but usually works after a day or two of trying to reinstall. This week tho? Error: TVAPP-00148 and the delete/reinstall isn’t resolving. Hard reset of TV as well. Nothing. Please help. Immensely frustrating for this to be the case with a $200/month cable subscription.

Xfinity, in their Great wisdom, have CLOSED THE TVAPP00148 THREAD to new comments!
THERE IS STILL NO FIX FOR THE NATIONWIDE SAMSUNG ERROR CODE TVAPP00148 for the Xfinity Stream App.
And 4 hours ago, they closed the thread.
THERE ARE NO OPEN THREADS THAT HAVE "TVAPP00148" in the header. THEY HAVE CLOSED THEM ALL TO NEW COMMENTS.
So I'm starting a new one!
I lost all ability to Stream live tv through the Xfinity streaming app since Jan 17? On my 2022 Samsung Roku Smart TV.
Xfinity is aware of this issue.
On 1/19, at about 2pm EST, I chatted with a Maria through the Assist App. After giving her my model number and manufacturer date, she got it working again. Unfortunately, later, I turned the TV off for a few hours and when I turned it back on, the error code tvapp00148 was back. Multiple chats, and call later and no one has fixed it since.

Suddenly today I can’t watch live TV through the xfinity stream app on my newish samsung. Keep getting the tvapp-00148 error. The online chat agent was no help. I was shocked to see this issue arose again recently, and posted about, but that xfinity still hasn’t solved it. Of course I tried all the suggested fixes, to no avail. Why is the xfinity streaming service consistently so terrible?

App through Roku is actually better. I have the same problem as everybody else with a Samsung TV. We were at WalMart today and I thought I would try a ROKU unit and see how it works. For $25 the Xfinity app loads faster and I think the picture is better. Dont know who's at fault for it not working on Samsung TVs but for $25, its definitely better now...

After about nine days, and seeing error code 00148, Xfinity has a message that reads “ wer’e sorry. Due to an issue issue with Samsung’s firmware were currently working to address a problem associated with live TV within Xfinity stream on certain Samsung 2021 TVs”

I am mirroring my Xfinity Stream from my phone and it is working just fine. Just FYI my Samsung is Tiezen 2021. And I also am getting the 000148 error code.
