samsung error tvapp00148
Xfinity, in their Great wisdom, have CLOSED THE TVAPP00148 THREAD to new comments!
THERE IS STILL NO FIX FOR THE NATIONWIDE SAMSUNG ERROR CODE TVAPP00148 for the Xfinity Stream App.
And 4 hours ago, they closed the thread.
THERE ARE NO OPEN THREADS THAT HAVE "TVAPP00148" in the header. THEY HAVE CLOSED THEM ALL TO NEW COMMENTS.
So I'm starting a new one!
I lost all ability to Stream live tv through the Xfinity streaming app since Jan 17? On my 2022 Samsung Roku Smart TV.
Xfinity is aware of this issue.
On 1/19, at about 2pm EST, I chatted with a Maria through the Assist App. After giving her my model number and manufacturer date, she got it working again. Unfortunately, later, I turned the TV off for a few hours and when I turned it back on, the error code tvapp00148 was back. Multiple chats, and call later and no one has fixed it since.

On an aside to the above...
Xfinity did an app update on Jan 10th that eliminated the option in the 'settings', 'accessibility' preferences that allowed you to turn ON/OFF CLOSED CAPTIONING. Requiring you to now have to turn it off manually every time you open the streaming app.

Xfinity's solution is to shut us down and not solve the problem! This way we just go away quietly! No communication to the users or credits for 10 days without paid TV service! BTW, it looks like they are closing and merging new comments related to this problem. I posted one yesterday, and their response was that this is not a Comcast issue but a Samsung issue and they cannot communicate without Samsung's consent. I wonder why then all the other apps are working perfectly in my Samsung TV, except for the Xfinity Stream? Sounds to me that the problem is with Xfinity's crappy app that never worked effectively anyway and now it finally crashed!

Yes, that was interesting that they closed that topic. Apparently wanting to conceal the problem. Now the Streaming app displays a message which blames Samsung for a fimware update from Samsung. Surprising that NONE of my other Samsung apps are broken. That tells me the developers were using some unsupported function which they found and now they are blaming Samsung for them using an unsupported function. If Xfinity wants to dispute this, then let them provide a link to documentation on the Samsung site. Until then, I will accept that Xfinity is doing their usual worst with customer support.

Just found out the hard way that my Samsung "Smart TV" doesn't allow for Over-the-air antenna use. Can't stream xfinity, and FOX, for some reason, will only allow me stream it for 60 minutes, though I signed in with my provider, xfinity of course, a service I'm already paying for, but FOX wants more money. And I can't stream the Niner's game anywhere else without paying extra. So I thought, last resort hook up the antenna...well, that didn't work! I left Spectrum thinking Xfinity couldn't be any worse...seriously screwed either way and with a serious lack of options, NO Verizon, no AT&T in my area. The only other option is T-mobile, which shares your signal strength with everyone else, I can't imagine that would be any better. I can't bend over any further! Lol
