NFL Network Programming No Longer Available.

Our agreement to carry NFL Network expired, so it’s no longer available with Xfinity. This includes NFL RedZone and any other related Xfinity Stream and On Demand programming.

Please know Comcast pays programmers to bring you the entertainment you love, and, so far, Disney/ESPN has not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast continues to work toward bringing back this programming, but only with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for its customers.

Others have asked, but I'm not going to remain silent. Why am I continuing to pay for NFL Network and RedZone when Comcast refuses to do a deal to reinstate these channels?

It has been FOUR MONTHS and I have gotten nothing. We have been comcast customers for decades, but if there is nothing in place at the beginning of the football season we're cancelling our account.

This is getting ridiculous. C'mon Comcast, DO YOUR JOB.

Good morning @user_sbwlvn

Comcast pays programmers to bring customers the entertainment, information, and sports they want. Comcast works to negotiate fair terms to ensure the greatest value for customers given all the ways content can be accessed today. So far, Disney/ESPN has not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. Comcast continues to work towards making this programming available again with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers.

I don't think you answered his question: why is he continuing to pay for this service if it is not available? I feel the same way. I too will drop all of your services, not only if you don't settle this, but if your settlement leads to a price increase.

I just received a reminder from Comcast / Xfinity to accept the solution to my post. Here's the thing: there was no solution. If only Comcast/Xfinity was as attentive to this contract matter, maybe I would be able to accept a solution. Because THAT is the solution.

Very disappointed considering how much I pay for Xfinity and your current profit margin.  I like many others will dump Xfinity and use $$ saved to get our football from another outlet.

Training camp is starting today and I am worried that I will not have NFL Network or Red Zone as we enter the NFL season. These are both part of the package I am paying for. We have Fios in my neighborhood, but really I would like to keep my Xfinity Service if they resolve this issue. But I plan on canceling if they can't resolve this soon and will move back to FIOS. With that, I also would lose access to Xfinity mobile as I'd likely package with Verizon instead. I am sure there are thousands of customers like me, so hopefully Xfinity and Disney can resolve this.

I am sick of Comcast removing channels and not having it reflected in my bill. I pay way too much for internet and cable already but over the last couple years I've seen my channels going away and the NFL channel is the last straw. I want to watch NFL preseason and if I don't have it back in my lineup before preseason starts I'm probably going to go ahead and dump Comcast because I can get everything else cheaper elsewhere. Faster internet as well through EPB Chattanooga

Gotcha! After doing some research I do see as of April 2026 our agreement to carry NFL Network and NFL RedZone expired. As a result, this programming is no longer available with Xfinity or Comcast Business, including any related programming on Xfinity Stream and On Demand. Please take a look here to see more details about the change https://www.xfinity.com/howitworks/ .

If Xfinity hasn’t got their head unplugged from a particular space before preseason starts, we are gone. Been with Comcast ever since 1990 when we got married but it is just not worth it if they don’t carry one of the most popular channels out there.

Hi there @jagusm89. I am sorry to hear you feel this way about the missing channel NFL Network and NFL Redzone. You can still watch anything you’ve recorded, but your DVR won’t record any NFL Network or NFL RedZone programming while it’s unavailable. However, if the programming is restored, your settings will have been saved and recordings will resume.

I am very upset that xfinity has not come to an agreement with ESPN to return the NFL channel to xfinity. If xfinity can't provide the channel I too believe they should rebate xfinity subscribers for the loss of service if that can't come to an agreement. However it would be my preference that they get the NFL channel back.

Hi fairmont2010! Thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Forum. Great question! At this time, the only information we have is that Comcast continues to work towards making this programming available again with fair pricing, terms, and conditions for customers. If and when this programming is available again, it will be communicated to customers.

We should all be getting discounted services until you reach an agreement with ESPN/Disney!

It’s not right to blackout our access to the only channels we wanted to actually watch on the “sports package”. Not only that but the channel guide is still showing what is airing in these channels, basically taunting customers into thinking a resolution was made!

It’s total [Edited: "Inappropriate Language"] that you can raise our service fees whenever you feel, but when it’s time for you to anti up and pay in your end for our wants and needs you take a hard stance!

Get us all discounts, get NFL channel back, or get out of the business!

Such [Edited: "Inappropriate Language"],

Sincerely formerly loyal customer!

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. I can absolutely understand why you're upset. If NFL Network and RedZone are the primary reasons you subscribe to a sports package, losing access to those channels is incredibly frustrating, especially when you're continuing to pay for service and don't have a clear timeline for when the programming will return. We certainly appreciate your feedback regarding billing, channel availability, and the guide information still appearing for impacted channels. I understand how that could add to the confusion and frustration. While programming contract negotiations can sometimes affect channel availability, we know that doesn't make the situation any less disappointing for customers who rely on those channels to follow their favorite teams and events.

Comcast's agreement to carry NFL Network and NFL RedZone expired on April 30, 2026, resulting in the loss of this programming for Xfinity and Comcast Business customers. All related content on Xfinity Stream and On Demand is also unavailable. Customers can still access previously recorded content on their DVRs, but new recordings of NFL programming will not occur until the service is restored. Alternative sports programming is available on channels like FS1 and ESPN, as well as through various streaming services. Comcast is currently working to negotiate a fair deal to restore the programming.

We'd be happy to review your account and discuss any available options. We truly value your business and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns with us. If you would like us to assist further, let us know.

Losing the NFL Channel and The Red Zone were one thing but refusing to offer a credit or something to those of us who have been paying for the channels for 3 months without service. WHICH by the WAY - XFINITY opted to turn off. ESPN/Disney offer to allow the channels to remain on while negotiations continued but you said NO. You obviously have no regard for your customers we are saying goodbye. We opened our account in August 1982; at that time, Comcast was $6 a month for each roommate. So after 44 years of continued service, we are going to Glo-Fiber.

@We can definitely understand why you'd feel this way, especially after being a customer for so many years. We know the loss of NFL Network and RedZone has been incredibly frustrating for fans, and we never want anyone to feel unheard when service changes impact the programming they enjoy. We truly appreciate the 44 years you've been with Comcast and are sorry to hear you're considering leaving. If you'd like, our team can still take a closer look at your account and discuss any available options with you. Regardless of your decision, we sincerely thank you for your many years as part of the Xfinity family.💜

Very disappointing that it’s still not back after several months and the funny thing is is that you’re not discounting the bill whatsoever even though we have several channels now missing I will be changing providers if it’s not back by the start of the NFL season

@user_576ba9 I understand the disappointment. On Thursday, April 30 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), Comcast’s agreement to carry NFL Network and NFL RedZone expired. As a result, this programming is no longer available with Xfinity or Comcast Business, including any related programming on Xfinity Stream and On Demand. Disney/ESPN, the owners of NFL Network, have not proposed a deal that Comcast believes is fair for its customers. If a new agreement with Disney/ESPN, the owners of NFL Network and NFL RedZone, isn’t reached, the impact on current or future charges will be evaluated.

I’ve been with Xfinity since 2009 and one of the main reasons I’ve stayed is the convenience of having the Red Zone channel. I’m a Raiders fan living in CO so I don’t get to see my team unless they’re they’re on prime time or the 2 times they play the Broncos. If we don’t have the Red Zone channel then why do you guys still charge me for the sports package. And if they get it resolved by the time the regular season starts I’ll be canceling my service and getting a cable service or dish that will have Red Zone. I’d rather they charge me more for the content I want rather than taking it away.

GREED... Both Comcast and NFL Network have other partners that control whole regions.  On top of that they are beholden to their shareholders such as Black Rock who has no incentive but to drive up the price for everyone...

Not only am I disappointed but getting angry.  NFL network is my favorite.  Not being able to watch it is like buying a car that is not drivable.  I’m paying for it but can’t use it!  A few more days of this and I’ll be exploring other options.  I hope you get my point.  And I suspect I’m not the only one either

The NFL NETWORK hasn't been available since April,  with the sesson about to officially start i spoke with customer service about this & they had no answers,  I asked for credit retroactive back to April and till the contract is renewed,  I was denied therefore XFINITY will be losing by cable/internet business, i contracted another provider the day they come to install both services i will be dropping XFINITY

We understand this is frustrating, especially with football season coming up and NFL Network being an important channel for you.

At this time, NFL Network and NFL RedZone are not available through Xfinity due to the current programming agreement status. We know that is disappointing, and we understand why you asked about a credit.

That said, channels are not billed individually or à la carte, so we are not able to provide a specific credit for one unavailable channel. Your TV package includes a full lineup of channels and services, and the monthly rate is not broken down by individual network.

We understand if this impacts your decision to keep service with us. If you would like to review your current package or available options, we can help look at what may better fit what you watch.

The company invalidated that argument when it rebated the loss of channels supplied by E.W. Scripps, as it should have done, even though these were "not billed individually or à la carte". It is disingenuous to advance this "we can't do it" claim.
