Internet speed

Speed has been less than 50% of high speed plan for several days. I spent a lot of time with the "Xfinity Assistant" running tests. They say speed through their network to our modem is fine, but the SpeedTest while standing right next to the modem sometimes drops to only 10% of plan. That causes int

Only ever getting 540 mb/s at 1000 mb/s plan. Is everyone's speed always half of what they are paying for?

I have noticed that many posters in this forum, no matter what their internet speed plan through Xfinity is, are experiencing half of what they are paying for. I am no exception. I am always at 540 mb/s or so over ethernet, despite paying for 1000 mb/s for the past 24 months. I tested this on speedt

Xfinity support - Latency and Packet loss during evenings

XB7 vs XB6 initial performance disappointment

My wired download speed on the XB6 was over 1100 Mbps. The wired speed on the new XB7 caps out at 950 Mbps. Is this modem relatively deficient, or has the overhead cushion on my gigabit service been eliminated? The wireless speeds are also not as robust throughout the house as the service I enjoyed

Gigabit plan but very slow download speeds with direct modem connection

Hi, I have a gigabit Xfinity internet plan and use my own modem, a NETGEAR Nighthawk CM2050V. However, Ookla Speedtest is showing only about 20-40 Mbps download and around 40 Mbps upload

@XfinityDaryl It’s an interesting conundrum since you can only get > 1Gbps via LACP across ports 1&2 on the modem to 1&4 on the router. I don’t have any machines with multiple NICs that I could use to create a LAG. The router itself is a

MB8600 WAN LAG with Asus RT-AX86S

I recently replaced my CM1000 because I was bumped to 1.2Gb service. I replaced it with an MB8600 because my AX86S can only do >1000mbps if you do a LAG with ports 1 and 4 (no 2.5Gbps port.) Why Can't I Get The Speed I'm Paying For?

I have an Internet only plan with Xfinity. I originally had 300 mbps plan but over the past 2 years was upgraded to 600 mbps (paid for this) then updated to 800 mbps and then 900 mbps for free. When I was updated to 600 mbps and ran SpeedTest I would get 600+ mbps all the time at the Ethernet ports.
