Secondary box not working

Looking for some help we have two cable boxes the main one in the living room and the secondary one in my room. We decided to move the main box down to the basement to our new tv room and it works but my box has no signal and I have to put the main box back in the living room for mine to work again.

Hot X1 box

I have only just noticed how HOT my XG1 v4 box is getting. Even the cable connection is almost a burner. The bottom of the unit is the hottest. I have moved it so it is on top of the tv unit but it is still very Hot. I have had no issues but just how hot is it supposed to get.
