How can I activate the USB port to be used with a USB storage device.

One of the USB ports on my gateway has stopped working. I use it to charge my iPhone and noticed it did not charge overnight. I tried a different cable and no charge. I move the cable to the other USB port and it works normally. Can I bring the gateway in to Comcast and exchange it?

I recently had Xfinity service installed for the first time. The Ethernet cable connection between the modem and my desktop PC doesn't work.
