Issues with USB WiFi adapter?

I recently had Xfinity service installed for the first time. The Ethernet cable connection between the modem and my desktop PC doesn't work. To get around this, I am currently using a USB WiFi adapter, and the adapter plugged into my USB port on my PC talks to the WiFi in the modem a few feet away.

How to connect a USB HD to XB8 router?

I currently have it connected to an old router set up as an AP. I would rather have it directly connected some way. 1) I read that there are USB to Ethernet adapters that would work. If so I need a recommendation please. 2) The solution would have to be able to power the HD. Thoughts?

Since USBs are disabled on Xfinity modems/routers, how to add network storage?

Many routers have USB inputs that external drives can be plugged into, so that devices on the network can access them. Our XB3 has USB inputs that are charge-only and have data throughput disabled, so there isn't a way to add storage in the way I just mentioned. It seems that these are the only ways

Our new Samsung TV has stopped streaming with Xfinity.

The error message we see is TV APP00148 if that is helpful. Our other TV works fine, our phones are fine. We can also watch Prime and Netflix without problem using the Samsung. It looks like other users are having problems too. Is there a resolution?
