xfinitywifi Hotspot not available on 2.4ghz devices.

We definitely want to ensure you are still able to use the Xfinity Hotspot in your area. The Hotspots are so convenient! Have you attempted to see if you are able to access the hotspot on any other device?

You can get a usb WiFi adapter that supports 5 g  fir around $10, just plug it in a unused USB port, if all else fails

Does it work for PS4? The original launch one btw

I'm saying, it's not showing up on my (older) PC OR PS4

Is the PS4 connected to your PC ?

AFAIK, they have disabled the 2.4GHz public hotspots systemwide. Don't know if they can be re-enabled selectively.. Hopefully, the employee that responded to you in this thread can help / advise you. Good luck !

No, the problem is the SSID is not appearing on my PC, either

You said your pc, I don't know anything about game boxes, sorry, well if your computer has a connection, i know win 10 lets you make a hotspot, maybe your game box could connect thru it, I know it's not ideal, just curious why you don't use your routers ssid to connect 

Yes I checked all my other 2.4ghz devices to try with and it's not there. The hotspot I need is for 2807 S Stone St Spokane, Washington, 99223 (not my service address, that's the address I need 2.4ghz to be enabled on).

@EG @Is this on the Xb7 gateways you rent also?
