Vizio sound bar working with xr11 remote
I am on my second sound bar. I totally gave up on my first one. I can not get the remote to pair with the sound bar properly. This one is a Vizio which is listed when the prompts ask if you want to set up a sound bar. I now have to use the sound bar's remote to control the volume. Using two remotes is not what we want to do.
Are there codes or suggestions that will possibly work to get my sound bar to work with my comcast remote? I have a Vizio SB362An-F6. My tv is a Sceptre. I am trying to save my sanity and my marriage!

Thank you. I tried everything and nothing works. It is very frustrating. I called comcast and they said it won't work no matter what. I get it to the point everything works, except the power button. The only thing that happens when I hit the power button is it turns off the sound bar. I returned my first sound bar and bought vizio since that was one of the brands listed on the screen when it said to set up a sound bar. I am frustrated since I managed to set my neighbor's up, no problem. Is there a brand I would have better luck with?

Sound-bars are designed to work off the television.
When they are connected to the television, the television menu controls connected speakers. That means they come on or off when the television comes on of off.
Read the directions found with your television, and the speakers.

This solution worked great. Took 30-40 pushes of the "channel up" button on the Xfinity remote but eventually the soundbar turned off. Then I pushed and held the "setup" button on the remote to lock it in. All are synched now. Thank you!!

Unfortunately a lot of flat panel TVs don't have an "audio out" anymore so you have to come off the tv box. Use the solution listed here where you program in 992 and use the channel up until the soundbar is synched. works great.
