Audio constantly cutting out - Only on specific channels. NOT a local/wiring issue

Another constant issue with xfinity. Watching the Golf Channel. The audio feed is continuing to cut out. It even happens during commercials.

1. I have checked everything on my end, connections are all fine.
2. I am not having the same issue with most other channels
3. I have powered down everything, and restarted, issue continues.

The issue clearly is not local to my equipment or connections, otherwise it would not be isolated to specific channels, and fine on others.

Same here. I have 4-1/2 hours of Travelers golf tourney recorded and the audio cuts out every several seconds. It’s intolerable. I too have checked everything on my end and restarted/refreshed my equipment; it’s clearly a Comcast issue.

Hello, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have experienced similar issues in the past, and agree it can be frustrating. If it is isolated to one channel, it is possible the broadcast signal was not very solid. Have you experienced the same issue since this was posted?

@XfinityBrandon

I have the same problem.  When the tournament broadcast changes to CBS the problem goes away.  I can also eliminate the problem by watching the golf channel on xfinity stream.

@youngms Thank you for your comment, I am so sorry to hear that you have been experiencing the same issue with audio issues on the Golf channel. Just to confirm, are you still experiencing the same issue this morning with the audio?

I have the same problem. Thought it had gone away last weekend but it is back now. Audio dropouts only on the Golf Channel. Happening again during the John Deere Classic, also during the DP Word Tour's Irish Open. Don't think the GC has their equipment at the Irish Open, but the audio that comes out of GC must be corrupted somehow. I have never had audio dropouts on any other channel. This is really annoying and I wish someone who knows what levers to pull would engage the Golf Channel !!

I’m getting the audio drops on the Golf Channel and CBS mostly. Occasionally I’ll get it on NBC and ABC.

Hello there @user_4ea574 Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support with Digital Care here on our Community Forum!  We are so glad to hear from you and want to assist in any way that we can with your audio concern.  No worries!  You have reached out to the right team, and we are going to do what we can to make sure you are squared away.

The audio drop can be caused by multiple issues, you would first want to take the steps outlined here: Audio Issues

Is this happening across multiple TV's or just one? If you have both SD and HD channels, are you seeing this on both versions of the channel?

Hey there, @user_799079, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums! I understand how frustrating audio issues can be when you are trying to watch your favorite programs. Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps mentioned here, https://comca.st/3O2OdwM, to see if that helps with the issue?

It’s 7/13 and the problem persists and has gotten worse. The problem is only with the Golf Channel.

Yes, also still having the same issues on my TVs - trying to watch the LPGA tournament today (7/13) on Golf Channel (Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational) - the audio cutouts seem more frequent and some are longer than in the past (up to 10 seconds). So tired of this!!

That would really sour the mood while trying to watch your events, @user_4ea574. Have you noticed any other channels have that issue or other events on that specific channel? This could have been an issue with that specific event and not the whole network.

I have the same problem.  I have techs come to my house twice trying to fix the problem.  They changed cables, cable boxes, amplififers, cables connected to the pole, everything the poor guy could think of.  Then we thought it was fixed but no.  Started again within 1 day.  Clearly it a a problem with xfinity and not our house...

I am having issues with Bravo channel, recorded and live.  Sound cuts out every few seconds and lasts for a few seconds.  Very frustrating.  It's not the cables, because I don't have this problem on other channels.  I also notice there are MANY customers with the same issue.
