Hello, @user_lruigt! Thank you for letting us know about this issue you've run into with your Xfinity Membership Benefits. We appreciate your patience while waiting on a response from our team, too. Are you still having this problem? If so, what troubleshooting have you tried so far (i.e. clearing your browser's cache and cookies, trying another browser altogether, using incognito mode, etc.)?

user_cfistr Have you tried to clear your cache and cookies to see if that made a difference?

I too am having this issue. I have cleared browser's cache and cookies. I have checked to see if my settings have changed and they are still the same as they always have been. I have tried incognito mode and it still does not work. I have tried explorer and chrome neither work.

We appreciate you sharing that you're experiencing the same error. You've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting, including clearing your cache and cookies, checking your browser settings, using incognito mode, and trying different browsers. We definitely don't want to have you repeat those steps.

Since the issue persists across multiple browsers and other members are reporting the same error, we'd want to investigate whether something is affecting the Xfinity Membership benefits page rather than assume it's an issue with your browser.

One thing we'd like to clarify: Are you able to sign in and view your Xfinity account normally, with the error only appearing when you try to access your Membership benefits? Or are you encountering the error during the sign-in process as well?

That will help us narrow down where the issue is occurring and determine the appropriate next steps.

I am able to sign in and use my account normally except the membership benefits page.

Thanks for confirming! That helps narrow things down quite a bit. Since you're able to access the rest of your account normally and have already tried multiple browsers, clearing your cache, and using incognito mode, this appears to be specific to the Xfinity Membership benefits page.

With other members reporting the same error, we'd like to look into whether there's a broader issue affecting access to Membership benefits rather than have you continue repeating troubleshooting steps.

One thing we haven't checked yet: Have you tried accessing your Membership benefits through the Xfinity app instead of a web browser? If so, are you receiving the same error there?

Good Morning, @user_b6vpah! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums. I am very sorry to hear about the experience with reaching the Xfinity Membership page, it certainly not what we want for our customers. Have you attempted incognito mode on the browsers?

user_b6vpah Hmm, does it also not work properly if you use a cellular connection as opposed to using your in-home WiFi connection?

Same issue here. Tried multiple browser, incognito mode, multiple devices, cleared cache, app as well. All same error when trying to redeem today's rewards (or any rewards). No VPN, both wifi and cellular. I am the only account holder.

Same issue on Windows Chrome and Android Chrome.

The dev console is filled with errors. Should be pretty easy to find the cause (I'm a web dev).

I have the same problem, so is it everyone? I've tried on my Android phone using the Chrome browser, and on my Windows desktop PC using Firefox, Edge, and Opera. Every browser says the same thing: A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields').

@XfinityJeffB Do you mean a browser's private mode? I just did and got the same result. I check Xfinity's member rewards every week, have been for years, and considering how many others have been getting this message today, something must have changed this week on the Xfinity site.

Just adding to the documented list of Xfinity customers that are reporting the Membership Benefits page is not loading.  Only seeing the message "A rendering error occurred: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'fields').".

Curious if anyone has noted the page is loading properly for them?

The benefits page is working this morning, and, of course, all the $10 gift cards and free digital movie have been claimed.

Thanks for providing us with an update, @Jonathan75. From the public post & comments I have seen this far it looks like it appears the issue has been resolved on a large scale. Those rewards certainly move fast, guess people were still watching that page like a hawk while things were being worked on.

It's still not working for me. Getting the same error form both browser and app since yesterday afternoon. It's clearly a website issue not handling null data correctly under specific conditions. Get the website team to check the logs, monitor for errors, and debug! Stop wasting customers time asking them to clear cache and data. Websites need to handle these conditions, sign users out, and clear the cookies/cache itself.

@XfinityJustinM It is not working for me still as of right now. Someone needs to fix this ASAP. This is ridiculous. You're an internet provider that can't fix your own website?

Suggested fixes do not work.   App or app security upgrade errors should be backed out until it is corrected

@user_lruigt There is no fix.

Company worth millions and millions of dollars can't fix something with a giant team of overpaid "professionals", something I used to fix by-myself on a DAILY basis easily when I did IT for nickels and dimes. LMAO

I have also been having the rendering error on the benefits page since Thurs 10/15 on Windows using Chrome and Internet Explorer, and the Xfinity app on Android. The app works slightly better - I can see the list of benefit items, but if I click on any of them, I get the usual rendering error.
On Internet Explorer only, the problem has gone away today. it persists on Chrome on Windows and the Xfinity app on Android. I have cleared cookies on Windows, and cleared the storage and cache for the app on Android.

I was able to get in once yesterday going through some backwards way. I was able to redeem the $1 rental. But now I can't remember how I did it and cannot get back to view current deals.

I think I found where the null value is coming from. There's a script tag on the page with a type attribute of application/json and an id of __JSS_STATE__. The contents of this script tag is JSON. Within this JSON, at the path sitecore.route.placeholders['jss-main'][0].fields.template, there is a null value. At some point, the code attempts to read fields.Value.value of this template data, which is null, causing the error.

Hopefully that helps the team that works on the Membership Benefits page to narrow down the cause of the problem.

What's the status XFINITY?

This is a page for your loyal members. Your developer response time for fixing this will show how important we really are. Which we all know isn't a lot.
