ESPN unable to play, valid token required error on Xumo Box ESPN App
When trying to stream ESPN on the ESPN app on my Xumo Box, I get the following error: "Unable to play video, error: valid token required." This error also occurs when trying to stream ESPN2 and ESPN3 in the app. It does not occur when streaming from an ESPN+ option with in the same ESPN app. In the 2 attached images, you can see the error message as well as the same content available from the ESPN source showing "logged into TV provider" and the ESPN+ source showing "subscribed to ESPN+."
I've done tried refresh app and clearing locally stored data in the system settings with no change.

Hello, bambamdozer13 thank you for taking time out of your day to create a post. I appreciate all the detailed information you provided, it is helpful knowing you can view the content on ESPN + App but not the regular ESPN channels.
I found this great article on our website: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xumo-faqs. Broadcast TV (e.g., NBC, CBS, ABC, and FOX) and cable networks (e.g., CNN, ESPN, and HGTV) are not included with the Xumo Stream Box. However, you can watch live TV through a separate streaming service like YouTube TV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV Orange and Blue, and Paramount+.
Reading this information, it would make sense why you can access the ESPN + content since that is App specific. Where ESPN, ESPN 2 and 3 are specific channels. Were you ever able to access the content before, and now getting the error?

I'm receiving the same error on ESPN+ through my Hulu bundle. I think my Xfinity subscription is what is creating the issues. This Xfinity stream service has been such a nightmare, I've had to download multiple other stream services and they won't work. Why I link my provider as Xfinity it denies my access. Fix it.

The response from Xfinity is very disappointing. The problem is still there. It’s been there for obviously a long time and you can’t figure out how to fix it.

I am having the same issue but can access the volleyball game I'm trying to watch on Xfinity stream but not on my TV. I can see all the other live games on my TV except the one I want.

The ESPN app that was installed on the prior generation Flex TV box allowed viewers to log in with BOTH a ESPN+(or Disney+) account credentials, as well as with a TV Provider credentials (i.e. Spectrum, Comcast, etc.). In the past, viewers could watch all the ESPN+ content, as well as the actual ESPN channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ACCN, SECN, etc.). However, now with the new Xumo Box with its installed ESPN+ app, you no longer have the option to log-in with TV provider credentials (only ESPN+/Disney+), and therefore no one can watch the ESPN TV channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ACCN, SECN). Therefore, despite paying for the ESPN channels through my TV provider, I cannot watch the programing on the Xumo Box. This is a really terrible development in what I was expecting to be an upgrade, as these ESPN channels are my favorite. I think I'll have to switch to a different streaming box such as Roku to watch my favorite ESPN channels.

Complete GARBAGE!! I watch alot of espn 3, sec + nd acc + and now I get the invalid token response!! I pay well over $250.00/month and can't watch those channels on my tv. I'm certainly getting rid of xfinity. How awful!!
