I don't really like yahoo appearance and would like to switch back xfinity email. How I can do that?

I'm upset that I pay hundreds of dollars each month for comcast services and now they have discontinued the email service and switched people over to a commercial service who wants to charge extra for the features I already had and was paying for. I'm looking at other options for TV, phone  and internet. I hope other customers will cancel or curtail their comcast services. Don't get me started on customer support. If you have a few hours to waste trying to navigate the customer service system and finally get an agent, their English is often so bad we can't understand each other.

Since going to Yahoo, we have been receiving calls to decrease our payments with xfinity and they have out username to access the account by call for the password verification number to change the password. So do I need to file a complaint with Yahoo for possible breach or will you investigate this issue. Please notify all the customers.

Hello user_kistm2, thank you for making us aware of this issue. I would like to get some more information so we can further investigate.

Please send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary.
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.

I totally agree. I been with Comcast for 30+ years. Transitioned to Yahoo and can’t get any tech support, I was trying to make my Yahoo email look similar to old Comcast email page. They are just dumping customers to save money. I will no longer use any Comcast services.

What are they going to do??

What are who going to do about what?  If you have migrated your comcast.net email to Yahoo! Mail you would go to https://login.yahoo.com or https://mail.yahoo.com and login with your comcast.net credentials.  If you are having a problem with your email after you have migrated you would need to contact Yahoo for support.

Hello @Laurah28 and thanks for posting your question on our Xfinity Community forums.

Support for emails post migration would be handled by Yahoo! and if you've not yet migrated, your comcast.net email can still be accessed the same way it always has (as @Again pointed out in his reply to you.)

If you have more specific questions regarding the transition, please let us know.

If you haven't migrated to Yahoo! Mail you go here: https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite

If you have migrated to Yahoo! Mail you go here https://mail.yahoo.com or https://login.yahoo.com and sign in with your comcast.net credentials.

This migration is horrible....I can't find my legal documentation in my emails. I hate the adds and I can't figure how it is so much more secure with all of these ads everywhere. I have anxiety issues and the whole page is really bothering me big time. I just miss the simplicity of the old email set up. It was very efficient.

If I can find a way to get rid of Xfinity I will....I feel like I've been hoodwinked and bamboozled. I am an IT person and there must be someway to revert the migration....we do it all of the time.

Xfinity / Yahoo better get their [Edited: "Profanity"] together BEFORE sending me the final notice to switch. I have extensive email folders/files that CANNOT, and I repeat CANNOT be lost and/or messed up in the transition.

You'll be happy to learn that migrating is optional at this point.  You do not have to migrate if you don't want to.

Unlike others in this forum, I do understand ahead of time - as it is clearly stated up front, that we cannot “go back” once transitioned.  And it makes no sense to “go back” anyway.  You would still just have to find another email service anyway and NOT be able to keep your Comcast.net email address by taking that route.

So you are saying that we were given an option that if we migrated to Yahoo we lost our right to go back to Xfinity? Where was that stated because clearly I missed it.

@Mr-DJ I was not given an option. Yahoo [Edited: "Language"], I am not paying to have ads removed

I don't think that was an option when migrating; it was more like information from here.  Definitely a failure on Comcast's part.

How can we get our Comcast email back?? Yahoo wants monthly payment to stop the ads! This is not right. Is there anywhere we can start a petition to get our comcast email back?? How do we start one? Any help on this subject is needed!

There is no going back.  Once you've migrated to Yahoo you're pretty much stuck there, unfortunately.  As far as the ads go, you can see if there is an ad block extension for yahoo email for your browser, or you can use a third party email app.

I too wish I had not transfer to Yahoo. It is not what it claimed to be. Biggest regret. Now were stuck with Yahoo. Please somehow let us switch back.

@LakeTahoe222  I’m sorry to hear this.  Our apologies as we do not have a way to switch the email back. What issues are you experiencing and have you contacted Yahoo support?

[Edited: "Soliciting and Political"]. I've spent hours trying to get this [Edited: "Language"] to work only to be bombarded by un wanted ads. And then they want me to pay to get rid of this [Edited: "Language"] that they add to my emails. And there is no provision to switch back this has got to be illegal.

user_hkb88k I’m really sorry, that would be frustrating, especially after making the switch. If Yahoo isn’t letting you click things like delete, spam, or unsubscribe, it’s usually an issue with the browser or app rather than your email itself. Trying a different browser, clearing cache and cookies, or temporarily turning off extensions can often fix it. If you’re using the app, reinstalling it can also help reset things.

This experience is really disappointing. The ads are intrusive and feel inappropriate, and it’s frustrating that a company already charging high prices to "loyal" customers for internet services are now adding advertising to platforms like Yahoo—even when we’re paying for access. Especially considering we can all have Yahoo email accounts for free, it just comes across as an unnecessary money grab.

The "money grab" is all Yahoo, not Comcast.

Again, do you honestly believe that Comcast gave Yahoo all of these email accounts for free?  Do you really think Comcast execs would just say to Yahoo, here you go, enjoy the ad revenue?

The money grab is happening both at Comcast and Yahoo.

Comcast cuts their bottom line and doesn't have to support an email service, but will still charge the same fees to their customer - money grab.

Yahoo gets a bunch of new users they can blitz with ad after ad unless they kick in $5 to their new Yahoo service they did not ask for - double money grab.

All this was billed as an upgrade by Comcast to entice customers to switch, when clearly this is a MASSIVE DOWNGRADE.  Some customers were even mercilessly switch without their consent.  That is abhorrent!  The money grab is NOT "all Yahoo".  Stop distorting the truth.
