Two-factor authentication codes need to be emailed to my Comcast email address. The emails aren't being delivered, not in Spam either.

Hello
I cannot get the two-factor security code delivered to my Comcast email in-box.
It is not in the Comcast email Spam folder either.
I have tried multiple times.
We are a small nonprofit and we do not have a cell phone to get the two factor code, we always use email to get the code and it has never been a problem before. I am using Chrome and I cleared the Cache - which is what Mailchimp suggested - it did not fix the problem.
There are many people posting this same question to Reddit and here in the xfinity forum - how to I fix this? Where are the codes being sent?

Do you mean 2FA codes for logging into to Comcast? Or mailchimp?  When I've had 2FA emails from Comcast, they were always sent to my other/non-Comcast email.

@strega7 They mean, OTP codes for other sites where they have registered with their @comcast.net account are not being delivered to their inbox and therefore they can't sign into the site.

Trying to get 2FA from Mailchimp, sent to Comcast/xfinity email. I am able to access my emails in Comcast but the 2FA codes are not delivered to spam or to the in-box.  Comcast/xfinity blocks the incoming 2FA emails. It has been an issue for years - many posts on Reddit etc about this issue for several years.

There are several posts regarding this going back 2-3 years.  I experience the same thing, so do relatives.  I have created posts about this in the past, unfortunately Comcast does nothing about it.  I had to close my Reverb account because I could no longer sign into it.  I can't get OTP codes from Reverb, Kroger, Ancestry, Huntington and few others. OTP codes from some sites do arrive after 20-30 minutes but are no longer usable.  For most no email arrives at all.  It is not in SPAM, it is not a user error, comcast.net servers are rejecting or bouncing the messages with no notification and Comcast just does not acknowledge it.  Their support will provide steps that are completely useless and irrelevant and will never escalate.

Thank you - yes, that was my experience as well, and you can see this has been an issue for years - there are many posts in Reddit about it - for YEARS. What is the point of the Spam folder if Comcast/xfinity doesn't allow these two-factor emails through, even if they suspect it is spam? Very frustrating.

If its been going on for years, then I doubt they'll put a lot of effort into it now given that they have announced that they are "sunsetting" email.  You might want to try some other providers while you wait.  In fact, it might be nice if someone tried a bunch of them and posted reviews relative to how easy they are to get used to for ex-xfinity email users.

@strega7 Yes, lets try different providers.  If only we could get into our accounts to do so....

Hopefully it will work when mail is moved to Yahoo.

Other email providers would have their own accounts so you can experiment with them if you wish.  Yes, you'd still have the issue of other things with 2FA into xfinity email accounts, but hopefully those services have a way to reset their 2FA systems - if not some people will probably never get around to accepting the yahoo terms, get their email account deleted, and would lose access to those services forever.

Still, I think you might as well get ahead of it and try a yahoo account and some other accounts and know in advance if yahoo is where you want to end up.

At worst, you could find an email you like, then hope the 2FA works on yahoo, then get into those services and change them to the email provider you like...

Hello, @user_0dtoto thank you for taking time to create a post here over Xfinity Forums. Sorry to hear of the issues with receiving two-factor authentication codes, and see that you have researching on your end. If you're using our gateway, and have advanced security on this can block communications that may be seen a spam or harmful.

- have you checked to see if advanced security is on, if using our gateway: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security ?

If you haven't checked our Customer Security Assurance website, there is a section on there called "Postmaster" where you can work with the CSA experts when not receiving communications: https://spa.xfinity.com/help

Hello - thanks for responding. I spoke to a help desk person at Comcast and they were able to see that I was receiving email and the Help Desk person said the issue was with the sender not comcast. If it happens again, I will follow the links you have provided above. Thanks
