Pandora on X1. Screensaver and TV Audio bleed
Hi. Pandora audio works as expected, but after a few minutes, the Xfinity screensaver comes on and the music continues to play. Pressing any key on the remote causes the Pandora screen to reappear, but at this point, the audio from the TV channel that was tuned to comes through the speaker at the same time. There is no way to stop that unless we exit out of Pandora and go back in. Then, the same thing happens again. Steps to reproduce.
- Select Apps/Pandora
- Select a station
- Music plays
- Screensaver will come on
- All is fine unless you wake up the system, at which point audio from whatever channel was on bleeds through and you hear both Pandora music and more quietly, TV sound.
- To resolve, exit out of Pandora and go to step 1.
- Happens every time.

you have the very oldest model of DVR with only 5 tuners. swap it for a new xg1v4 (4k). does not have other than HDMI/coax output.

Thank you, @Rustyben I was afraid of that. If I swap out the box, will I lose all DVR recordings already completed? Cheers.

use a smart device to see what cloud recordings are available. those will be available to the new X1 set top box. note the oldest will continue to fall off as new hours of cloud DVR are recorded.

I upgraded my box. I could not get the 4k one because I do not have a 4k tv (so said the rep at the local store). So I got a new box, not sure how new.
Something is wrong with the Xfinity Pandora App. It should be escalated to Comcast.
Here are the details of the new X1 box:

We have had this same issue for months now. Our dvr box model is xg1v4-a, not a 4k model, I believe. The box was installed in June. We do not have a 4k tv. From the looks of other posts on this forum, without a 4k tv, we cannot get a 4k dvr box. The audio bleed is incredibly annoying, and ruins our music-listening experience.
Now what?

xg1v4 is a 4k capable box. the screen saver activation does not stop the audio it is there to protect plasma and CRT (glass picture tubes) screens. some say OLED also need the feature.

Copying @ComcastAmira
The issue can further be isolated. Steps:
1. Start Pandora App on Xfinity
2. Music will begin. do nothing.
3. After x minutes (per setting), screen saver will cover screen while music plays.
4. Pressing anything will remove screensaver, and THEN, audio from last tuned TV station will play when songs change. This will be the case until exiting Pandora and repeating these steps.
I have reported this to Pandora directly, but this issue is really disconcerting and makes listening to Pandora difficult as every time a song selection changes (or the user manually selects a new station or next song), you hear the tv. @Rustyben @Jenv301 . Our account was "reset" but it made no difference. Would like to know what Comcast will do about this. Thank you.
