Changes from English to Spanish for no reason
Recently with in the last week the main DVR STB when going from one show to another (on the same channel) will change language to Spanish. This is happening on 2 different channels. I have gone through all the settings for comcast DVR STB and the TV to make sure nothing got changed from English, it had not. I also pulled the plug to the STB box waited 20 seconds, plugged it back in. Same issue. I then did a complete system reset from my computer and again the problem is still there. Has anyone else had this issue or know what it could be. BTW neither of the other 2 STB are showing this issue with the same channels, I did test them. The channels that are doing this are NICKHD and FF (Free Form). So far no other channels have had the issue yet.

when you see/hear the problem, press down. is SAP circle circle checked?

I found that there are several areas that can change the language on a STB, not only the one from the main menu options area. Strange that there would be multiple places to do the same thing but it appears that had happened on this STB. Another quirk that I have now stored away in my memory for future use.

I have had it for years, and I mean YEARS. With the old box I knew how to change it but with this X1 I am having trouble and can't find any information or get in touch with ANYONE at xfinity. Having trouble with my computer too. May be time to change services.
That wasn't a bad word. I replace it with junk

Hello @fedup978 where are the other areas to check ? However, my TV goes back and forth from spanish to english. Mostly SPANISH!

Hello @fedup978 ! I am having the same problem right now on prime network(football games) YET, the commercials are in ENGLISH! It goes back and forth! I am losing my mind! I have done anything and everything one can do to my knowledge. I call Xfinity & they have no idea. Did you get it corrected? If so,HELP!!!!!

One of the programs I like to watch somehow got stuck on Spanish SAP a couple of weeks ago - I have no idea how it happened in the first place - and Rustyben's solution fixed it when none of the other language settings under the cog (Settings) menu when you press the Xfinity remote button did anything at all. Thank you so much, @Rustyben !! 😊

Yes we are having same problem with channel 156 Stars Oncor Western Channel. Tr IU ed everything to fix it?
