Thanks for the reply. The issue you linked to doesn’t sound like what I’m seeing. And yes, I am sure I’m on a 4K-compatible HDMI input on the TV. I actually tried two different HDMI inputs just to make sure one wasn’t faulty, and got the same result.
Are you using a newer 4K compliant HDMI cable capable of passing all the needed frequencies?

I'm having the same issue. However, I have no additional hardware between the TV and XG1V4. Verified my HDMI cable is 4K compatible. Trt to switch to 4K and the box is not recognized by the TV. Please help.
Is your HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 connected to the set top box? did you check your TV's owner's manual to determine which HDMI port to connect your 4K DVR? do you have to activate the port for 4k HDMI?

Yes, all of my HDMI ports are set to 4K.
usually there are only one or two 4k inputs. asking again, is your HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 connected to the set top box?

HDMI1
using your TV remote move to a different HDMI port then back to HDMI1 - what does the TV show for resolution for the Cable set top box? is the STB connected directly to the TV or to a sound bar or receiver?
@JN1980 wrote:
The STB is connected directly to the TV via the Samsung One Connect.
you will need to work with Samsung on the one connect device. there are other threads about this. if the TV does not have a direct 4k HDMI port on the back, it may not work.
