Can’t Switch Box to 4K
Just swapped out my DVR box for a XG1v4 4K-compatible X1 box to use with my Samsung 4K-compatible TV. However, when I go into the box Device Settings and try to select “16:9, 2180p60 4K UHD (Best Available)” under the Video Output Resolution, I get a “No Signal” message from my TV for about 45 seconds, after which the picture comes back but with resolution set to 1080p. What am I doing wrong?

Also check that you are on the rv’s 4K port, some TVs only have 1 and not all are 4K

Are you using a newer 4K compliant HDMI cable capable of passing all the needed frequencies?

Is your HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 connected to the set top box? did you check your TV's owner's manual to determine which HDMI port to connect your 4K DVR? do you have to activate the port for 4k HDMI?

usually there are only one or two 4k inputs. asking again, is your HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 connected to the set top box?

using your TV remote move to a different HDMI port then back to HDMI1 - what does the TV show for resolution for the Cable set top box? is the STB connected directly to the TV or to a sound bar or receiver?

you will need to work with Samsung on the one connect device. there are other threads about this. if the TV does not have a direct 4k HDMI port on the back, it may not work.
