I have a Motorola DCT 2000, it is connected to a Westinghouse VR-2418 TV and I cannot pair remote XR2 remote with Motorola DCT 2000 box Is the XR2 the correct remote?

You need to change the code set. Hold the SETUP key until the light turns red. Press the B key. Then try the remote again.
