New Television Connection
I am about to purchase a new television. Can I simply disconnect the digital adapter from the old television and connect it to the new television. (After unplugging everything of course)? Would I use the new remote to set up the tv then program the old comcast remote to change channels and off/on? Is there any additional information that I would need to accomplish all of this? What type of television would be the simplest to make this change easier. Any information that you can give me will be very much appreciated. Thank you

Are you asking how the Digital Adapter is connected? If so it it plugged into the wall and connected to the antannae port on the back of the old television. Cable connected to wall and digital adapter, digital adapter connected to antannae on tv. Thanks.

Also, will I need to tune the new tv to channel 3. Normally with a new tv the set up screen comes up first...should I forego trying to tune to channel 3 and just go ahead and start the set up? Thanks

You have a new TV. If it is HD, you will only get SD video when connecting the tv to box with a coaxial cable. Follow the tv set's manual for ways to get HD video passed to tv.
