STARZ is not free on Amazon Prime. It’s an extra monthly charge.

😅 Many children truly believe things are often FREE these days, because grown-ups are quietly paying their bills.

Re: Starz leaving Premiere packages?

Ah yes,,,  having Dad subscribe so I can as well...

In my family, some of the streaming is paid by my adult children ( Netflix is one) and shared with family...   My non-cable subscribing children around the country have Xfinity logins....

The Starz thing doesn't affect us much except for Outlander which my 36 year old daughter enjoys..  With the Prime Video option, she'll be able to watch on her TV instead of just on her tablet...

Re: Starz leaving Premiere packages?

I have had Starz in my subscription & it disappeared. I was told that Comcast/Xfinity can take away any channels you PAY FOR DURING YOUR CONTRACT. I asked if I  could start paying less anytime I wanted to during my contract.  I actually got a very helpful rep who put it back. I tried to tune it in today & it is gone. Here we go again!

Re: Starz leaving Premiere packages?

I just addressed Starz. I also pay for Cinemax. That is gone? I'm not taking this anymore. Repeatedly lied to or mis-informed this past year.  Been a customer since the 80's. I get that they are moving towards selling streaming/data, but an agreement/contract is signed in good faith. I sign contracts. Apparently only I have to live up to my end by paying, but Xfinity has in small print that they can remove what you agreed to pay for whenever they please. Of course you can cancel & pay a large fee. I don't think so!

Re: Starz leaving Premiere packages?

Hi, just received my newest bill and was I "surprised" to see that instead of a price reduction for the fact that Comcast now includes Epix in my package that they decided to increase the broadcast TV fee to "make up" for it. I know that it is not what happened but it is funny that it has increased at the same time as the other change. Nickles and dimes will kill us all. I guess that my comment about lowering my bill was just a pipe dream and isn't/wasn't ever going to happen but the fact that they can continue to raise the fees for anything is just wrong. There is a point that the Company has to accept it as cost of doing Business and not profit off of everything, next it will be that the electronic bill is using uo to much data to transmit so...

Re: Starz leaving Premiere packages?

Pass through fees for broadcast TV is a money grab by the TV stations IMO..    They know  that the cable companies ( and also SAT companies) just pass them along..    I am not sure what the deal is with companies like Youtube or HULU taht offerer straming only options...  The problem kinda is the DVR is integrated into the cable and gives us rights to the live programming..     There have been fights for years over these fees and the cable companies know that customers are not happy about it but they aren't going to obsorb them it...  The option to cut the cord and just watch via antenna and streaming is always there  but that adds complexity that many don't want...
