Fox Sports 2

As a NASCAR fan, I was afraid that I would not be able to see the same racing events that I used to see on Speed when they rebranded the channel this past weekend.  I was just proven correct.  I now won't be able to see the Whelan Modified race that is airing on FoxSports 2 from Bristol tonight as Comcast doesn't have Fox Sports 2 in the channel lineup.  I was able to watch it last year when it was on Speed.

I strongly encourage Comcast to rectify this situation and add Fox Sports 2 to the lineup.  If I can't watch the things I want to watch because the channel isn't available, then I'm going to look for a cable provider who can provide it.

We are missing a lot of UFC action by not having Fox Sports 2 available. I have the premium sports package and I get PAC12 women's volleyball
BUT not Fox Sports 2 carrying one of the most popular and fastest globally growing sports. WTH? This is not right !!!! Long overdue to you loyal, long
time customers.

It is inexcusable for Comcast to not carry a major channel like FS2. Fox is carrying major NASCAR programming that we fans are dependent on. I will change to another provider if this isn't rectified soon! Hope they get the message from this board. It's clear the desire is there. Come on Comcast!

Yes, Jim Ort, it is inexcusable. My last post was removed, not because I was using bad language, but because I was posting some truths that COMCAST doesn't want to hear, or let anyone else hear. So in it's place is a nice little reminder to everyone to "play nice" on this forum. We all have to do what COMCAST wants us to do, but we employ them to provide what we want to watch on television, do we not? Many people have left COMCAST because it is too expensive, and doesn't provide the content we want to see. There are some of us who do not have that choice. It is COMCAST or nothing. I have been pleading with them until I bleed from my eyeballs to provide FOX SPORTS 2 since last August, yet they won't do it because it will cost everyone roughly twenty cents. I don't know about you, but for twenty cents a month, I'd be happy to get FOX SPORTS 2. I don't know anybody who would have a problem with this, whether they watch FS2 or not. (Note: my bill didn't go down by twenty cents, or however much, when they removed UNIVERSAL SPORTS from their line up). They also plea how much new infrastructure will cost to add FS2. One channel. They are a cable company. Providing channels is what they do. Yet they don't want to. So, what I suggest, in a nice civil tone, is to contact by email ecare@comcast.com. You'll get a reference number (i don't know what it does, but you get it anyway) and a nice empathetic message from an administrative assistant. But you won't get FOX SPORTS 2, because COMCAST is trying to squeeze pennies until quarters come out.

They have no intent to add Fox Sports 2 or MAV TV.  Can't be because of band width because they recently dropped thier analog channels and what about the 50+ channels that are labeld as "To be announced"?  And by the way, locally they announced the we now get the Oxygen channel.  Programming Targeted for woman.  Wonder how much thats going to cost?

If you want to get fox sports 2 in your area go to the fox sports website; then go to the section to find out which channel you get in your area fox sports 1 or 2. Then you can request that the missing channel be added to your local line up by your provider. This works with any channel that is not available in your area. You can also call customer service and ask the agent to put in a request to have a channel added to the line up. Neither is a guarantee that it will be added but if we don't ask it will never be added.

Going to Fox Sports web site is fine, but doesn't work.  Look at the size of this thread, look at the size of the MAVTV thread.  The last few channels that were added to our local service has had next to no activity on these forums, requesting their additions.  You want these channels?  They are available on Dish and Direct TV

The issue here is the lack of Local Management. It is mentioned in this thread but there is notheing local about this forum, as it's being moterated by someone in Philly and I'm in Washington State.  You go into your local office and instead of someone in the know. you get phone numbers from people thousands of miles away. If there is local management they are being shielded from their customers.  I have been involved in requesting Fox Sports 2 and MAV TV.  Funny that MAV TV is in Philly.  Western Washington is a hot bed for Sprint Car racing, a staple on MAV TV.  But someone 3000 miles away won't know that.

As stated a few times in this thread...

The Comcast programming teams and local management teams constantly evaluate programming choices and make decisions based on customer interests, costs, channel bandwidth management and contractual obligations. The Comcast employees who participate in these forums certainly pass along your collective feedback, interests and concerns to those teams.

As with any business, situations may change based on customer demand, channel bandwidth opportunities, business opportunities, costs and contractual obligations.

Costs and customer feedback have a lot to do with any programming decision.

Just how much feedback do you need? You will not give us what it would cost so just how do you know people would not want it? Don't copy and paste your what you have already posted.Give us Facts!

Nearly 1/3 through the racing season and yet to have heard a formalized response from Comcast concerning negotiations with Fox Sports to host their FS2 channel as part of their channel lineup. What is the status and when will action be taken?

They are more worried about trying to get all of Charters and Time Warner subcribers then they are worried about the subcribers they have now.So after they get everyones subcribers they will be to big for anyone to get customer service.Oh wait they don't have any customer service now. They need to have someone on these fourms from all the states that they cover, not just Ted that is someplace in the Bahamas. She don't like it when we post links to just show what really is going on.After she deletes them she say don't know what you are talking about.
