Service keeps disconnecting from time to time

My Xfinity service keeps disconnecting intermittently, and this issue has been happening since the day my service was installed. I’ve tried all the available troubleshooting steps on my end, but the problem persists. I don’t believe I can resolve this myself.

Hey @user_143hmu, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We would be more than happy to assist in the troubleshooting of the Xfinity Internet service. Would you be able to provide us some additional details such as the LED indicator activity during the interruptions?

Could you please also visit our 'Connection Troubleshooting Tips' post which will provide instructions on how to view your signal levels so we can compare them? Would you also be able to share any troubleshooting that you have already performed? We hope to hear from you soon.

Unfortunately, no. I’ve tried all kinds of restarts, but the connection still drops intermittently. When I checked my equipment on the Xfinity website, it said, “The Xfinity Gateway you currently have is out of date.” Could this be the source of the issue? I am currently on the NOW 100Mbps plan and the gateaway is CommScope TG1682P

That is the correct device for your plan, @user_143hmu. I would recommend visiting our NOW PORTAL for assistance with your intermittent connectivity issues. As that team would be able to take the next steps forward to resolve any now issues, but we would love for you to circle back let us know how they resolved things! 😃
