Internet going in/out due to "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing"

Seeking help on my internet, which keeps dropping at random times. My network has been working for about 3 years without an issue.... until about a week ago. Currently installed is a Motorola MB8611 modem on a 500 mb/s plan. A technician was out here yesterday replacing the line coming from the box, which did not solve the problem. Based on other forums advise I have checked all coax cables for damage and have found no issues. I am sorry if any of my terminology is off, I am a novice when it comes to this.

I'm experiencing the exact same issue. My modem has been up for over a month without issue and woke up this morning to "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing" errors and no down stream connections. I initially thought Comcast pushed a firmware update, but I've confirmed that is not the case.

My research this morning has led to a lot of RMA modem topics. I have a line tech coming out to inspect but I feel this is 100% a modem issue. It seems Comcast and this modem have lost of issues. I'll be RMA'ing this modem while I search for an appropriate replacement from another vendor. 

Background: 15 yrs network engineer for fortune 500 IT company. Full Ubiquiti backend infrastructure.

I just put in an RMA for my MB8611.

Will followup if this resolves my issues.  (They say this may take up to one month.)

As of 5:38  PM:

System Up Time

Nothing changed on my end but first time to go through a full day without a drop.

Same issue here...so are at least 2 other neighbors next to me. 

Multiple service interruptions throughout the day (not always the same time between the three of us). 
Service tech came out, didn't find anything...said he would schedule a bucket truck. 
Truck came out - but the tech never talked to me....left after a few hours with no update. 
After hours trying to get an update from Xfinity, they told me the ticket was closed and had no notes in it. 

Had to restart the process all over again...still having issues...

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
