When will the multiview feature be activated?

Saw something somewhere (outside links aren't allowed here) that showed a new feature where you can watch 2 things at once via your X1 box. I think right now it's sports only, last night it said no events are available for multiview. (even with 2 baseball games, 2 College football games, and 1 NFL game running concurrently)

So WHEN will I be able to test this feature out?

Before we see a standard copy and paste answer (which is fine to educate people about the new feature) - I want everyone to know that my question is "WHEN" will it next be available. Today being Friday 10/18/2024

Will it be tonight, tomorrow, or what date in the future and for which events?

It's always on NFL sundays if you have two games on at the same time or if you also have RedZone, you'll get the three screens to watch all of the football action.

How do I choose the games I want to watch in Multiview?

Hey there user_9e32ff Sports Multiview on X1 does carry a curated selection of sporting and Special Events(when available) which you can see by saying "Multiview" into your X1 voice remote. If you have NFL Redzone, a third window option appears that shows the Redzone dynamic coverage.

The NFL games are the two airing live on the local CBS and Fox stations.

It seems this Multiview option is really nice!! Can someone provide the date that this service will allow the customer to pick which games to watch (other than NFL, of course). CFB Saturday would be really nice to pick 4 games. I’m only seeing 3 games for the early timeframes and only 2 of those are worth watching. Would like to see the availability to pick 4 games!!  Info needed please. Would get more buy-in if this happened before end of the season!!

user_k67q3i Thanks for the feedback. At this time we are only on phase one of this feature so I am sure more options will come soon. Thanks for enjoying this new awesome Xfinity feature that has been added for our customers at no additional cost!  Here is a list of the phase one features:

Multiview will feature channels showing pre-selected professional sports and select events; customers cannot control which channels are available in Multiview.
Events will vary based on sports schedules and timing.
Customers can navigate between the feeds using the arrows on their Xfinity Voice Remote. The audio from the selected feed will play aloud.
Customers can click into a selected feed to exit Multiview and go full screen on that sports game.

I am now, Black Friday, using multiview to watch three college football games that are live at the same time. I was unaware of this feature until I saw it on this forum. Great feature!

My multiview says try again later with Error-XVP on the bottom right. Anyone know why?

Hello, user_2cic0h! Thanks for your interest in Multview! We are excited to offer this and want it working great for you. Has it worked in the past, just not with your most recent experience or was this the 1st time trying it out? Do you have a 4K box that you were using it on? The XG1v4 and Xi6 are both compatible.
