TV shows freeze, pause and then continue

I am writing as I am having issues with my Comcast service.  I have three TV's and three Comcast TV boxes.  I have the X1 Gateway.

For the past few months, the shows that I watch, pause or freeze and then after some time, they continue.  The freezing or pausing can last just a few seconds or can last for several minutes.  It makes no difference if the show is something I am watching live or something I have recorded.

I've seen quite a few complaints here going back a few years so I know this is a Comcast issue and something that is ongoing.  How can I resolve this issue?  Comcast charges too much money for this kind of thing to be happening.

Good morning @user_as64sa, and thanks for posting your issue to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. As someone that watches a lot of TV a day, I can understand the frustration of having the shows freeze, but you have come to the right place with a team of experts that can take care of this for you. Are the X1 boxes you have wired boxes, with a cable going from the box to the wall? If so have you tried to check the connection to make sure that the cable wires are tight?

@user_t4fqcf Are you receiving any error messaging when the freezing happens? Have you done any other troubleshooting outside of unplugging it so far?
