Not working for me either "Guide Data Missing", I use this one every day.
No prior notice from Xfinity of any issues with it either.
Xfinity, you need to fix this one (again).

Thank you for reaching out. We did retire this app, so it's no longer available for download. That said, you should still be able to use the app if you have it downloaded. It may be we are having some general troubles at this time, but it should still work if you have it.
You can also use the Xfinity Web Remote as an alternative available on our website.
* Updated Edit on 2/18/2025:
Above, I stated the remote app would still be functional as long as you had it downloaded after it was removed from all app stores, which is not the case with the new update as of last week. Going forward, the Remote App will not be available for download or supported on existing downloads.

This remote app is my preferred guide access. I’ve tried all the others, stream and remote web, but I do not like them and they don’t offer as much. Please please please bring back and support this app! Surely there are developers who can continue to work on it to keep it current?

I am on the verge of canceling Xfinity.. I looked at their “solution” to what we all have been using. Don’t bother!! Simpler for me to just cancel xfinity and go to another service.

I never used this app as a remote. I used it to search for upcoming shows, to see what was recorded and what was going to record, to program a show if I was not at home. Now there is no way to do any of those things. You just made using the DVR, or even the TV, much harder to use. Please bring back this app. I don't need to control my TV from my computer, the Xfinity Web Remote web site is useless. I have plenty of controllers. A big black X for Xfinity.

I used the app everyday as well. There should be a upgrade to it or xfinity stream should incorporate similar functions. I agree with jberz's comment!

This app needs to brought back! I too use it to change the channel for my mother’s TV. She cannot use a remote and this way I can put her TV on shows she likes.
you have eliminated and amazing tool for helping care for our aging population.

Terrible to pull the app without a suitable alternative. Many use the app to look at schedule, search for shows and simply to control the TV. Bad form to just pull the plug.

I use the app to turn the tv back on for my dog. She suffers separation anxiety and being able to turn the tv back on from the powersaver mode helped during my work day. This app was the only reason I continued to pay $300+ a month for cable, wifi, and mobile. Thanks for handing me the scissors to trim my services. As soon as I find another wifi provider in my neighborhood that'll be cancelled too.
