Someone else’s recordings showing on my account!

This is the second time this has happened in the last two months. Out of nowhere, my DVR (both on the physical box and Stream App) is showing somebody else's recordings.  My box is now flooded with shows that recorded days ago, which were not there this morning.

 

Clearly something is mixed-up as these have no series recordings and suddenly appeared tonight after I did a SYSTEM REFRESH. 

 

1. Online in STREAM only shows somebody else DVR recordings and scheduled recordings. None of my scheduled recordings or recorings are showing.

2. On my DVR this other person's recordings and scheduled recordings are MERGED with my stuff on the box.

3. None of the SCHEDULED recordings have any Series Recordings on my box. 

 

Phone support was useless. All they did was have unplug the box. What do I do? I have tons of recordings scheduled that are not mine!

No, they don't match the local line-up.  For example, Meet the Press is Channel 106 in my area, but the recording was on Channel 708.   I emailed one of the Comcast Employees who had commented on this subject, and they are escalating the problem for me.     The problem is not only annoying, but it also raises concerns about privacy and security.    I hope they can resolve it quickly.

Is it happening in the Mobile Stream App as well as the Web Site Stream App?

 

Have you tried running a system refresh by pressing the A Button on the remote and selecting System Refresh from your main DVR?

 

Occassionally, it would clear mine, but other times it would cause more to show. 

 

Any of the recordings similar to the ones in my first post about this in this thread?

Yes, Ridiculousness was recorded numerous times.    I'm adverse to trying things on my end at this point in fear of making it worse.   The television boxes don't appear corrupted yet.    I'll give it a day or so.  Thanks.

That is the same show that has been constant during the last 8 months of me having this problem. They believe they solved it minus a glitch with the mobile app showing some of these from the other account.

Very strange you are in the same situation as me...

Another recording is Blue Bloods and then a ton recorded by actor or actress.

@ComcastJoeTru I am already being helped by @ComcastCesar and they may have solved my problem. We are just doing some testing to confirm. I do believe the other posters on here still need help.

The recordings do seem to be our local stations.  I can only check the newest added since I have been deleting the others when they pop up.  Thanks for the input.

I have the same issue - it has been occurring for several months.  The DVR has recordings of shows I do not watch and deletes things I have scheduled, recorded, but not yet viewed.  This is getting to be very frustrating.  The box is currently at about 37 percent full but if this keeps happening it will be 100 percent full and delete even more of my shows since whoever is recording is doing so in HD (something I never do to conserve space).  Please resolve this issue or send the information to someone who can!  I have called and talked to Xfinity with no solution.   If I want to catch the deleted episodes I am forced to sit through commercials (and some of them are not available "on demand").  The DVR is also recording episodes that are repeats (previously aired) even though I have it set up to record only new episodes.   And I have changed my password several times and there is no one else with access to my account.

If someone from Comcast can help me with this same exact issue that has reappeared again for me. 

 

This just started tonight, October 23.

 

I have other people's recordings, favorites and a different guide showing up for me online on the Xfinity Stream Website.

 

Please resolve this issue.

I too am experiencing the same issue.  Started a couple of days ago.  All of our recordings were deleted, somethng like a hundred different saved ones.  Our scheduled recordings and saved recordings are being deleted and/or cancelled every day.  I am also seeing recordings scheduled that we wouldn't record.

 

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

So, I figured the more eyes the better on these issues.  This just happened to me but mine is very strange.  Here are my details.

 

This just happened to me today but the only place I saw someone else's recordings AND channels were when using xfinity.com/stream in Chrome on my iMac.  I changed over to use Safari and everything was fine there.  I'm getting their recordings and channels and they appear to live in the Minnesota area.  I live in the Boston area.

 

The app on my phone is fine and all the DVR recordings on my TV are fine.

 

Is it possible to have different nDVR's for browsers?  Chrome is the only thing being affected for

me.

 

I tried using chat which didn't go anywhere and then they had someone call me.

The call dropped.  They called me back and then I was put on hold for more than 5 minutes and

I couldn't sit there and wait.
