Known issue and impacting everyone. Best solution is to use it. Then program the 30 second skip button to your remote and hit once to skip to the show once the smart Resume ends.

I have been testing and it seems the Xfinity Clock is 30 Second off.

To set up the 30-second skip feature on your Xfinity X1 box, press Exit thrice on the remote. Then press 0030 to set the skip time.

I don’t think I have this feature. I’m supposed to have Xfinity X1.

Hello @user_46f46a, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us on the forums. Are you still having issues with the smart resume feature or has it resolved itself?

I no longer work for Comcast.

When you refer to stop early, are you referring to it not finishing the recording entirely and stopping at a specific time or does it stop at different times depending on the recording?

On shows without smart resume the advertisement blocks (different color on the meter when you fast forward) are all messed up too. Along with some shows not logging watched or saving your watched progress so you can resume halfway into a show later. Basically, Xfinity is needing some serious fixing right now.

I live in layton, Utah and yes I have the same problem.  I have had the same issue for several weeks now.  The entire program "template" (the time scale when you press pause/play etc.) including the start time, stop time, and commercials are off by about 40 seconds. All events have been slid 40 seconds to the left (early). In the current situation, programs start recording 40 seconds early and end 40 seconds early (so you miss the last scene unless you set to record an extra few minutes). The commercials as indicated by the yellow bars are off by 40 seconds as well. If you notice when a commercial break begins, we are already a short distance into the yellow bar. So of course, the commercial break continues into the blue bar of the time scale (because it started early). So the entire show is off from the template by 40 seconds.  seconds early? I have tried restart, refresh, replaced the box and modem, rep;laced all my HDMI cables with high speed 8K to no avail.  Hopefully Xfinity will come up with a solution.

Hello @user_a41ad7! Thank you for that information and your feedback. I realize how frustrating it would be to miss the last part of your recorded programs. We appreciate all the troubleshooting you've already done. Is this happening on all of your recorded programs?

I no longer work for Comcast.

It happens on ABC, NBC, and CBS the smart resume is off, starts late and finishes early.

This is a really strange situation! Just to be clear, it is only on those three networks that the times are off, correct?
