Set Channel Manual Recording Button Missing
Today the “Record” option when I click into every channel is just completely missing on all of my DVRs. I use this all the time to set a manual recording, and this is the first time it is not there for some reason. It is way more reliable to record this way for long events for the exact time I want than extending or doing any type of auto extend option.
Please advise, is this a temporary glitch that is going to be fixed soon?

I want to second this... the option to manually record a channel for a specific time is no longer available. It was working yesterday. Rebooting the box doesn't help.

Hello, Xfinity? This glitch is still happening for the third day in a row with no response. Getting pretty frustrated, especially after having yet another complete service outage in my neighborhood yesterday as well.
Can you please escalate this issue I’ve brought up in the original post to the correct tech team that can look into this and fix it?

Agreed, this needs to be fixed immediately and should not be that difficult.
Revert to the last working software version while you debug what caused this problem.

I contacted Xfinity as well last Thursday. Some lady named Betsy called me back from Xfinity. She said manual recording are no more. Why people from Xfinity on this forum are saying it's a known issue and saying they are working to fix something that no longer exist is a bunch of [Edited: "Profanity"]. You can't fix something you get rid of. I am [Edited: "Language"] off about this as well. Xfinity should bring back manual recordings or allow you to set shows for whatever hours you need to get longer recordings.

@XfinityBenjaminM @XfinityOrlandoM
Once again, I am beyond confused here.
Xfinity Benny, you state that the issue is still open and being worked on, and will be fixed soon. While Xfinity Orlando now follows up here and says, nope the feature was just taken away and will not be brought back. Which is accurate?
If it is being taken away, please reverse the decision as it just makes no sense. If I’m scheduling a bunch of recordings days out, it is SO much easier and faster to just set my own manual recording for the exact time range I want on a channel. Having to record a bunch of different time slots and extending them all is annoying, especially when program times shift and change and don’t even end up recording then at all. Why create unnecessary annoyance to your long time customers? What is the point of removing it? Does it save you money on back end cloud storage or something?
