Pairing the XR15 remote with my Sony Sound Bar unpairs my LG TV

I've been through the XR15 factory reset and several different ways to pair the remote with my box, TV and soundbar.  I cannot get the soundbar and TV to pair together.  Every time I pair the soundbar the TV becomes unpaired and then I re-pair the TV and it unparis the soundbar.

I've tried everything posted on the Xfinity site here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/remotes

and I've read through and tried everything posted in the forum below:

https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/X1/X15-Remote-won-t-pair-to-TV-and-Sound-Bar-at-the-same-time/td-p/3130692

Please advise

The soundbar should connected to the television. Follow the directions found in the tv manual. Then when the tv is turned on, the soundbar will turn on too. The tv menu controls what speakers, headphones, etc. are being used for television.

Thanks for the reply.  Seem that my LG TV does pair with the Sony soundbar but the LG remote will only control the sound and not the power.  My end goal is to only need one remote.

I am having the same issue, just got the TV. My LG output is also set to the sound bar but the pairing keeps unpairing one or the other. Did you figure it out? I also prefer using a single remote.

It will work! Stop the pairing after you pair your TV. Go back to watching TV then then start over Press Xfinity button and mute button like before but punch in Sound Bar code. It will pair them both together. Sony sound bar codes. 32172; 31759; 30766
