Not wanting separate dvr device names

We have an X1 box and a Satellite XG2v2 box in 2nd room.   Appears in recent months new feature was added to associate the Device Name to the box the recording was set on.  I do not want this feature!  I set recordings from either box often, I want all recordings listed on either device.  New feature has 'Recorded On' menu at top of recordings list that filters recordings to chosen device.  Please tell me if I can remove this filter option, or the Device names associated to our two Boxes.  Or allow me to set both device names to SAME NAME so I will always list all my recordings (I tried that today, could not do from home here).

Also, I noticed if I set a recording using my phone app, the result recording does not list in 'Recordings' list, likely since my phone is not a device name I can filter on.  It does show on 'For You' list, but that is a clunky short list with big Icons for each and just the most recent few recordings.  I don't like how 'For You' is default recording list format, instead of 'Recordings' list (Ideally I can get rid of that list if above issue can get solved!)

Thanks for advice, I suspect others may have same frustration.

Thanks for posting on our community forums for assistance with your DVR recording concerns, @user_b4fy3n. To confirm, the secondary device is a wireless 4K DVR, correct? Is that box set up as the main DVR? You should be able to manage and change the names of each DVR on the Xfinity App. Have you tried this? You mentioned setting up the recordings through your Phone App. Are you referring to the Xfinity TV Remote App? Or are you managing the DVR recordings on the Xfinity Stream App?

Thanks for replying.  Neither our X1 box and smaller XG2v2 box are wireless, they are coax cable connected.  The X1 is named Den, it is larger and presumed the main DVR (How to tell?).  The smaller XG2v2 is named Living room where it resides.  I do not see how can manage device names in Xfinity App, please provide those instructions.  Only place I see doing that is in Settings when viewing TV app.  I know are friends have the option to list recordings on TV app for 'All devices' which we cannot do, we have to pick Den or Living Room.   The phone app I use to view and set up the recordings is 'Xfinity Stream' app.

Hi @user_b4fy3n ! You would actually need to rename your cable boxes at the device level. Directions on how to do so are located here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-device-name

Let me know if this works for you!

I have done those steps changing device names at the device level, I can only choose names from the list or give two unique custom names for our two boxes, I cannot give them the same name so am stuck with having the two device names to choose from on the 'recorded on', on the 'saved / recordings' list.  Not solved.  Also, new problem, today we have a recording that only shows in 'For You' screen, it shows on neither of the lists we see regardless of our choice on the 'recorded on' menu.  Please advise how we can fix this to see ALL RECORDINGS on the list view, regardless of where they were set to record, or have our two devices have the same name which would also solve this.
