Live tv delay

I seem to have a live tv delay when watching games on my X1. Channels are fox cbs ESPN just to name a few.

Hello, @user_D_Love! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to reach out about the audio delay. We definitely want to get this issue resolved and understand it would make watching difficult. Are you listening to the channels using the TV speakers, a Bluetooth device, or a receiver or sound bar? Is your TV box connected to the TV with an HDMI cable, coax cable, or some other type of cable?

@XfinityRay hi

I mean the video is delayed. So for example friends of mine that are watching a game are further ahead then my TV service. Was wondering if there is something that could be done to fix this

@user_7f03e1

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 5-month-old dead thread is now being closed.

For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on an old thread can delay getting help.

Thanks for getting back to me, @user_D_Love. I better understand now. The touchdown happens and your friends start cheering, but you don't see it for another few seconds. Have you tried to send a refresh signal to your equipment to reset the connection between our equipment and yours? Have you tried any other steps, so I don't have you repeating anything you may have tried previously?

Thank you

A signal delay has nothing to with Comcast. Signals coming directly over the air are the fastest. The number of devices before your television all make the signal take longer and cause the delay. Different brands, models of a tv, will cause a delay.

It's just the nature how signals reach the television. Nothing here to fix.
