Are You Still There?

This TV Box will go to sleep in 5 minutes. If you have DVR, scheduled recordings won't be affected.

I went to Power management that is OFF. Meaning it should keep the BOX on 24/7  It is super Annoying. Is there a way to Fully Disable this? Costumer Support agents? DO NOT USE SCRIPTED aka Already typed out MESSAGES EITHER.

I want to keep Watching TV, without having to touch the remote, Press a Button on Remote. I do Not want answers saying about Nap Mode. I want to fully disable this go to sleep mode. I do not want to Save POWER. I just want the Box to go back how it was couple days ago where it was on 24/7 with No sleep mode, No nap mode, no popup messages.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out through our Xfinity Forums platform regarding the power-saving mode setting on your box! I definitely understand wanting to ensure that your box stays on! I would be happy to take a look at your box settings. Are you able to provide me with the model number on your box or can you please send us a Private Message so I can take a look at your box?

To send us a private message please include your name and service address and send it to "Xfinity Support" by clicking on the chat icon at the top right of the page.

PROBLEM IS. ITS THE SCREEN SAVER option. used to never done this until last few months. This is on COMCAST side. Not the box. Its whatever YOU guys did and made it impossible for the Screen Saver to never turn off forever.

Only 5 mins to 5 hours.

I DO NOT WANT THIS OPTION. I WANT A DISABLE OPTION. So Screen Saver Never turns on PERIOD. I want the TV to stay on 24/7. I DO NOT WISH TO SAVE ENERGY. Cause its not saving energy anyway. any energy Saved is fractions of cents per month. vs the box staying on.  SO BRING BACK THE OPTION TO DISABLE THE SCREEN SAVER FOREVER.

It’s actually not a “screen saver” problem. The screen saver activates when you have a menu up, or the guide. I have this set for 5 minutes. If I do not have a menu on the screen, it will not turn off after 5 minutes. If I have the guide up, and no input on the report for 5 minutes, the screen saver comes on but the audio stays active.

it’s also not a “power saver” problem. Power saver actually turns off the box.

This is a “nap mode”, uniquely different from screen saver and power saver. Nap mode has no settings to change, it’s internal and secret from the user. There is no way to change or disable this.

With power saver OFF, if there is no input into the remote for 4 hours, nap mode activates, killing the audio and putting up a screen saver (again, not a screen saver problem, but uses the same image as the screen saver).

This is infuriating. Xfinity even has a dog channel designed for white noise for our pets when left alone, but the ridiculous “nap mode” cancels the benefit. Some of us sleep with TV for white noise and must wake up every 4 hours when “nap made” automatically activates.

again, there is NO WAY to change this.

I have seen the message when watching "You Tube" on my television's app.   So it has nothing to do with Xfinity.

It is most likely caused either by my Samsung 4K 3D tv, or possibly "You Tube's" app.

False. Both my boxes do this, one is connected to a Visio smart TV, the other is a 10 year old RCA with no such features. This is an xfinity “feature”.
