Xfinity account link issue with Peacock - Error PPG_0017

Hello, I am receiving an error trying to link my Xfinity account to Peacock when activating the platinum member benefit.

This starting occurring after I moved my service to a new address, previously this was no issue. I believe Peacock still thinks that my account is linked to an Xfinity account associated with my previous service address but it's actually the same account. Is this a Peacock issue or an Xfinity issue?

This is very similar to what is discussed in this thread.
I would send a direct message about this as suggested there, however it appears my account does not have access to this feature as the chat icon is missing, see attached image.

I believe some sort of manual account benefit refresh may fix this issue.

Any advice is welcome to resolve this issue, thanks.

Hey @user_267cya, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. With the recent account transfer/move, have you "Unlinked" the Peacock subscription with the previous address? You can follow the steps on our 'Activate Peacock Premium from an Xfinity or NOW promotional offer' support page using the steps shown under the "Forgot/Change Email" section.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am unable to unlink my peacock account because the system currently believes it is not linked to any account. However, if I try to go through the activation process, peacock believes that my current email is linked to an Xfinity account.

Hi @user_267cya! If you recently moved, have you tried signing straight into Peacock to check your status? If it tells you a subscription is required, I've had a few customers successfully activate theirs just by trying a secondary email address they use.

@XfinityChristy I see no errors when I log in, but I am not subscribed to any peacock plan. When I try and activate from my Xfinity account I get the message "Your Xfinity account is already linked to another Peacock account. PPG_0017_0791f8d". To my knowledge I've never signed up for peacock with another email, but regardless, I'd like to unlink that account and sign up with my main account.

@user_q3fddr Thanks for confirming for us. That error lets us know there's an email attached we need to locate and from there you can unlink it.

My apologies as our team does not store Peacock logins, so we suggest you try all the email address you have until you find the correct one.

Try Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Hotmail etc.

Once you find the correct email address, and you've successfully logged in, Here are the steps to change the Peacock email address

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/peacock-premium-offers

Scroll down to Forgot/change email:

In some instances, Peacock may already an active status.

If your Peacock subscription is active, but you’d like to change your email address associated with your Peacock subscription or forgot your email address, you can:

Go to the StreamStore through xfinity.com/yoursubscriptions.

Click Help & more info and click Unlink Peacock account

After clicking Unlink Peacock: You’ll have to confirm the Peacock account you want to use.

Select No, please use another account to use a different email.

Enter the email you’d like to use.

Select Continue then sign in and activate your subscription.

Note: If you already have a paid Peacock subscription, you may need to manage your existing subscription to avoid multiple active subscriptions and corresponding charges. For instructions on canceling your existing subscription, see peacocktv.com/help/article/cancellation.

Can you give all your email addresses a try?

@user_ek2vkg

I had to send a message to Xfinity Support and request they open a support ticket. Nothing I could do on my own. They helped me resolve my issue. It took about 3 days.

@user_ek2vkg  Have you moved as well?

When was the last time you accessed your Peacock account?

Have you tried all the emails you have including email not associated with your Xfinity account such as iCloud, Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook etc.

Once your correct email login is discovered we can walk you through the steps to change it which I have below:

1.Go to the StreamStore through xfinity.com/yoursubscriptions.

2.Click Help & more info and click Unlink Peacock account

After clicking Unlink Peacock:

3.You’ll have to confirm the Peacock account you want to use.

4.Select No, please use another account to use a different email.

5.Enter the email you’d like to use.

6.Select Continue then sign in and activate your subscription. First we need to figure out the login.

I'm having the same issue after moving and transferring my services to my new address. I never used any other email for my Peacock account than my Comcast one and yes, I have tried. Moving, just like everyone else in this thread, is the trigger here.

I've tried everything. I cannot unlink a peacock account because the xfinity page thinks it's not linked - it just says activate subscription at the top of the page. There is no "help & more info" button anywhere on the subscriptions page. When I click activate subscription, I'm given the error everyone else is getting and told the account is already linked to a different email. But it's not.

Hi there, and thank you for providing those details. We completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when it appears to be tied to your move and you've already spent time trying the available troubleshooting steps. Based on what you've described, it sounds like your Xfinity account is showing the Peacock benefit as available to activate, but when you attempt activation, Peacock is reporting that the entitlement is already associated with a different account. We appreciate you confirming that you've only ever used your Comcast email address and that you don't see the unlinking options that others have referenced. Given the account move and the activation error you're receiving, we'd like to take a closer look at the Peacock entitlement on the account and see what may be preventing the activation from completing successfully. As a friendly reminder for next time, please hold off on sending a DM until being requested by an official employee. Sending an unsolicited DM is a violation of our Forum Guidelines. I see that you sent you already sent one. I will continue speaking with you via direct message, so we can review the account details and continue troubleshooting with you. We'll do everything we can to help get this resolved and your Peacock subscription activated again.
