Scammed into “free” mobile line

this is the worst customer service experience i’ve ever had by far. in february i was called by comcast they were offering a great promotion which was if i transferred my mobile line over to xfinity i could get it for free while also getting a $40 discount on my internet (from $120 a month to $80 plus taxes) so i did it. except that when the agent put in the deal he never actually applied it and since then for the last 7 months i have been trying to resolve the issue. i have overpaid over $1000 dollars and been lied to every time i interact with an agent (i have audio recordings of these interactions) comcast admits a mistake was made but refused to fix it over and over and basically said oh too bad, i have never felt so betrayed as a customer i tell people everywhere i go don’t trust them. beware people these guys are not looking out for you. don’t fall for it!

Hi @user_jcb1fl, thanks for creating an official post on our Xfinity forums community forums support page. I am sorry to hear that you have had trouble getting this resolved, but I think there may be some confusion. The $40 bottom of the bill discount on your Internet and the free unlimited line are not stackable, are you receiving the $40 bottom of the bill discount on your internet?

this started back in december when an xfinity agent reached out to me to offer a promotional deal which was free mobile line for free for a year then $40 off my $120/month wifi it was supposed to be around $80 a month roughly and i have been paying over $170 i’ve called i’ve gone to the store i filed disputes with my bank no one will help me, you can say they’re not stackable and they may not be anymore but when I was called back in December from one of your Xfinity agents, that’s the deal/ the promotional offer that they gave to me. It’s not my fault if your agents aren’t well trained or misinformed or straight up lie to trick people into paying for things that they thought they would be getting for free and discounted, but apparently Comcast is totally incompetent and doesn’t care about their customers at all they only care about making money. maybe you guys should review the quality assurance recordings so you actually know the truth but instead you’ll just steal peoples money and not have any ethical standards whatsoever.

I have the same experience as you.

I recently switched to Xfinity Mobile after a sales representative offered me a promotional package of $44 per month for four lines for 12 months, along with $100 rebate cards for each line. However, once the transfer was complete, the promotion wasn’t applied, and I was charged $100 per month immediately, in addition to an activation fee that was never mentioned.

When I called to resolve this issue, I was put on hold and received no clear answers. I feel that Xfinity Mobile's sales tactics are misleading, so be cautious when their representatives call you to discuss new promotions. Otherwise, you may end up wasting your time and money with nothing to show for it. You could end up paying the same as your previous provider, plus a new activation fee.

Today, I canceled my Xfinity Mobile service and returned to my previous provider, even though they charge the same price along with the new activation fee. However, I prefer to pay a fair price to an honest business rather than deal with a scammy business like Xfinity Mobile.

Similar experience. See my post. Still doing the Add Mobile for lower cost scam. Wasted 5 hours so far trying to get a verification that my account does not include Mobile.

Others please comment if you have the same experience.
