AMC+ subscription

I've signed up for amc+ through AMC and the app.  I'm trying to add the app to my TV, but Xfinity says I have to subscribe and pay $6.99/month.  Is there a way to bypass this, without having to use Chromecast or other mirroring trick?

I'm having the same issues, and this response is either automated or someone is not actually reading the question and just checked the "amc+ box." It would be nice to get an answer to this. Thank you!

We apologize if we sometimes misunderstand a question, we are human after all, but isn't that the point? haha!

HOW CAN I WATCH AMC+?

If you subscribe directly with AMC:
Use www.amcplus.com or the new AMC+ app available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku.

 

If you are looking to view AMC+ content through Xfinity, you would need the subscription through Xfinity.

That's a terrible response... I subscribe directly to Hulu and I can watch on Xfinity... I also subscribe directly to Amazon Prime and Netflix, which I can also watch directly on Xfinity.  Why can we not watch AMC+ on Xfinity? And what about Starz?

Those are great questions. The reason is that the AMC+ is a subscription-based service through the provider or the app. We do not have a way to link the app to the Xfinity account unless it is subscribed first via the Xfinity service. As for Starz, the app is separate from the subscription to their channels. We can provide some content available from the app as on-demand, however, we are unable to provide the content from the app as it is not used to sign in to the Starz app.

so... if I subscribe to AMC+ on Xfinity, pay the fee, link the app.. THEN can I cancel the Xfinity subscription?   I don't want to pay $6.99 a month, when I just paid $23.99 for  A YEAR with AMC+

I also have this issue.I have an existing  AMC+ account that I paid for with the annual subscription. I guess they are going to ignore this issue and hope it goes away.

@user_6538f9 We can understand the frustrations when it comes to streaming service not able to link up. At this time, per agreement with AMC, the only way for our customers to watch AMC+ content on X1 is to subscribe through us for the monthly rate. There is not currently a way to link an existing AMC+ subscription otherwise. We know this is not the answer you were looking for as always things can change as technology evolves.

I have the same problem.  Xfinity is a piece of work if they can’t figure this out with all of the technology they have.  Terrible customer service.

Chromecast has the AMC+ app now, so I'm able to watch on my TV, without having to go through Xfinity.
