Lost access to all dvr recordings

I just lost access to all of my dvr recordings on my nonX1 cable box.  I just noticed the message on demand about “tv box update needed”.   Did xfinity wipe out my dvr recordings to force me into x1?

To send a Direct Message:

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

 Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it

You can only move to an x1 type of box if you also use Comcast for cable. Those of us with Internet from another company will need a newer Legacy cable box not yet specified here on the forum. I am waiting to hear back on another post.

The original message was edited. As of now I see no option for some of us with Internet from another company.

I am back to wait and see what we find out in the near future.
