How can you link your Xfinity account to Netflix without having an X1 box.

Just upgraded my Xfinity package and it now includes Netflix.  When I was discussing this with the Xfinity account associate I told him that I do Not have an X1 device in my house.  I use TIVO.   Now after multiple telephone calls to Xfinity and Netflix I have been told that that only way to associate my existing Netflix account to my Xfinity Netflix is through an app on the new X1 boxes.   Netflix help documentation state that you can link via set-top box or link via activation link sent via email from Xfinity once you've signed up for an eligible package.   I never received any emails from Xfinity after upgrading my TV package.   This is exceptionally frustrating and at this point I have to believe that the associate that "assisted" me in upgrading my Xfinity package was incorrect or the people who I have talked to at both Xfinity and Netflix don't  know what they are doing.    I do not want to incur the cost of X1 equipment just to watch Netflix which would be over $100 a year.   HBO Max linking, once I found the help article on how to do that was a breeze.

It would be my pleasure to assist you with looking at all your options to activate your Netflix account associated with your Xfinity promotion.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

@XfinityDanielC I did what you suggested... first time might have been my error I sent message to xfinity_support... 25 minutes no response.   Sent the message again to xfinity support .. again waited over 20 minutes no response.   To say that this is aggravating would be an understatement.

This may be of no help to you, but I have a Fire TV stick and get all my apps like Netflix through that. It's easy to set up and use. The stick costs about 20-25$

Hello @user_d2e988! I hate to hear you're having trouble watching Netflix through Xfinity, we're happy to help! This link explains how to access Netflix through your X1 or Flex box. If You're still having trouble, can you tell me what happens when you access the Netflix app through your Xfinity box please?
