Hate Yahoo! It is not user friendly, I thought it would get better as I familiar with the app. I'm getting over 60 emails that are for just shopping or buying something. Why should I pay $5 more a month to get rid of ads. Comcast I'm so disappointed in the change. I've been with you for over 30 years. Why can't the people who want to stay with Comcast can stay. Others may want to change to Yahoo. We had no say in changing platforms.

Xfinity... Yahoo email is terrible. You need to make an option for disappointed customer to return to your email program. You dumping us with yahoo email and giving us no option to return is completely unacceptable!

[Edited: "Inflammatory"] I want Xfinity/[Edited: "Inflammatory"] to give me back my email service without having to go through all that 3rd party [Edited: "Profanity"] and using another browser service! For the monthly internet fee I pay, I should have my email service the way I like it! "Straight up with no advertising crapola!"

agreed, the app is awful to use, asks to pay for upgrade, conversations are grouped together and emails seem to get lost. This is awful.

You should be able to keep using the client for now. Just be advised that even if you don't voluntarily do the migration to Yahoo, at some as yet undetermined time down the road, the Comcast email WILL be closed down permanently. We just don't know exactly when yet.

Is that some sort of "AI Overview"? It appears to ignore the fact that employees keep posting Comcast/Xfinity is getting out of the email business, perhaps as soon as year-end. I agree! It is very hard to use and fills up my (email haha) with garbage. It is hard to do anything on this mess, and it reverted back to emails from the 1900 hundreds!!!!!
The ads the forced me to say okay to is overwhelming. I mean when they offered ads I tried to skip that part and it would not let me. I have no control over this mess! Am I angry, YES!

How much is Xfinity going to reduce our Xfinity bill after stopping this key part of that service - which is EMAIL...?

I'm with you! yahoo is the pits, there are no controls on retention.....yahoo assigns and that's it. I hate, hate, hate it. Xfinity obviously did not take their long time customers satisfaction into consideration. What the heck caused this decision? I wannnnnaaaa go back!!!!

I did migrate and as most would agree, HATE IT! It's so unorganized. If I wanted to migrate from Yahoo to Outlook, does anyone know a safe way to do that and would I still be able to keep the comcast.net email address?

While researching the best way for me to prepare for Comcast shutting down their email service, I was reading about the email client Mailbird. Their site contained some very relevant information and explanations regarding why Comcast is shutting down their email service, and as a bonus, why so many of us were having problems with our passwords and XFINITY accounts last year. I am arriving at the conclusion that Comcast simply doesn't know how to keep their customers informed at a technical level. They just let us flounder and figure things out amongst ourselves which is quite careless, disorganized, discouraging, and leaves room for a lot of speculation and misinformation.

Read and weep...
On the good side it looks like Mailbird is free now, so at least we have an additional client side option at no additional cost.
